Does the song charting high somehow impact how people feel about it? Will the people who don't like it suddenly like it more if it charts higher? Will the people who already like it somehow like it more?
I feel like the answer to all of those is no so why tf does it matter to you?

girlgroup is different... believe me as red velvet fan. after summer magic sold 153k at that time, RBB only sold 109k. with right title track for comeback, red velvet could sell 200k in 2019. this not only happen with red velvet...

There is not a single girl group in korea that can chart high purely through fandom, they are all small even compared to b tier boy groups. I don't really understand the point of your thread, you didn't like the song? can't enjoy if it doesnt chart well?

Yes and it has already been scientifically proven. People like popular things for follow the norm and belong to the group. This is particularly well explained in crowd psychology.

Did jyp release pre orders numbers? Because this cb feels targeted at fandom growth and international success rather than korean,based on release date and promos
So far they are doing great at YouTube/spotify numbers so isn't that big of a loss. I feel the company already prepares for that and the ngg will focus on korean market

They’re still giving Coolest Girls in School vibes with their sound, fashion and MVs for almost all comebacks including their latest one, except for maybe MITM. But still, their image is overall coming-of-age ‘Badass Girls’ who are proud to be themselves.

Didn't the same thing happen to RV? It was quite literally flop after flop until Psycho came around and literally saved them charts-wise. The next comeback will be the ultimate truth teller, but I think it's obvious by now that JYP just...doesn't care about Korean charts for ITZY. They care more about international growth rather than domestic growth.
Kind of like how JYP focused more on the West with Wonder Girls while SNSD became more popular domestically.

Funny because to some extent yes.
I know this isn't the best example, in fact it is a drastic example. But Rollin was paid dust in 2017 and people only love it and start realising it is a great song because it charted high.
Then again like I said, it's a drastic example. Maybe not really change how people feel about the song but more of more exposure to a greater audience because it chart higher?

Is it doing worse than Mafia? That song was crap and still peaked high (and fell off hard) but Loco is better so I kinda expected the public to like it.
I'm not even a midzy but all of these itzy dragging going on for the past few days now is exhausting me. Can you guys let Itzy and midzys breathe? Digital charting is not the only metrics for success and Crazy in Love have been selling well despite it being released during weekends. Loco was just released a few days ago. It can still rise high on the charts. Besides, they're doing great in YouTube and Spotify.
And stop using aespa and rv for whatever agenda you're going on right now. It ain't cute.
To be honest I think JYP doesn't really care on domestic charts their focus now is on the west
You talk about what exacly? Whch part that they flop when the album is their best selling so far, Itzy in the top 5 highest gg, at 2 & 4, two album in top 5, if that flop then what others???? What others to you, the super flop 10 generation of flop or what?????Which part of flop stupido?? Since when charts is the only target for idol? And itzy is not even that bad in charts to be call ‘flop’, even some in the higher charting are not even that popular and success, some are not achievd half of itzy success, achvmnt, and sales, and some of them are not even consired as top idol. Korean charts is one of the factor but not the only one. As if your faves never charting low before? They even experienced bad compared to itzy.
Itzy comeback is far from flop when they achived so many like a rocket.
