CLC is a big yeah.
Why aren’t they popular? Does anyone know?
Hard to say. People have tried to figure that out for a while. Mismanagement is always brought up at some point. I'm not sure it's that simple.
As soon as they started, they got overshadowed by more successful groups who debuted around the same time (TWICE, GFRIEND). They went unnoticed for two years until their concept change, which earned them a little more recognition but still not enough. It seems the i-fans paid more attention to it than the k-fans.
They probably lacked a little extra something that catches people's eyes.

CLC had all the odds against them: debuted with a cute concept a little before Twice so they were overshadowed. Then they got attention with hobble goblin and instead of CUBE following it up with something similar they change their concept completely. Last they sold La Vien Rose to I*zone and don't get me wrong I think the girls did an amazing job singing it but that song could've been CLC's ticket to several music show wins. By the time N.O had come out it had been too late to gain a fandom.
