I like everything together but if folks get annoyed with the achievement spam, a compromise could be to have dedicated achievement threads for each fandom.

Achievements would get lost this way
-
block was created for this. lol

I’ve blocked so many ppl. All MODs had to do was have an achievement sub section and combine everything else.
But went with this approach.
-
the run around and block approach is so dumb too lol, as if people should have to resort to it
If this site starts doing major traffic again, I guess I can see them considering another suggestion again
My main page is dead and I barely see threads getting replies because I’ve blocked so many ppl and their threads aren’t even visible.
This in turn means I spend less and less time here and which means over all traffic will eventually reduce too.
There is a reason why old AKP had an achievement section. So did one hallyu that’s the best and preferred way for people to properly engage.
Anyway it’s their site if they don’t want my engagement I’m cool. Kek.

People disagree with this because apparently they die when put in another section. Maybe they die because most people aren't that interested and don't go out of their way to see It's kind of annoying to have achievements clog up the page, including my faves personally. Either we should bring back a separate section or have an individual thread for each groups' achievements that fans can update. People who are interested can check it out and it won't get in the way of other people that way

This is why I appreciate MOAs doing their TXT achievement thread and even Massive's digital thread.
Honestly one thread for each fandom would be nice because the people who are interested would know where to find it and keep it updated and if you really wanted to know the latest numbers you can easily search "{group name} achievement".

Agreed. And it sucks to have to avoid the spam, you lose out on all their contributions. I understand no one was going to the subforum, but ... tells you there's not a ton of interest in that content then, not to bring the spam to the main discussion forum.

Some argue that with the Achievement Section,Threads died down… but the reason for that is only a few people really care about them.
And even now the achievement Threads barely have any activity… it only does if it’s a bigger achievement.
Now the Kpop section is spammed with every achievement posted on Twitter…

I guess if the achievements are about the first 4th gen BG to get (fill in the blanks) or the first kpop GG to get (fill in the blank) in 5 years (you get what I mean), I think those can be dumped in the achievement section or toned down.
But if you get to break old records or make history as the first of (fill in the blanks) - then it definitely need to be posted in the main section. Those records are not your run of the mill records.
The problem is that BTS (yes we all know you’re talking about them) is doing it so often that it became normalised and people got annoyed lol. Just embrace it people, you will think back fondly how you were in the thick of things during the great BTS. And brag that to your children.
-
It definitely hits a point where you're trying to distinguish the line between post and spam. Especially when its very minor achievements....like "most views by a 8 member group on a Wednesday when weather is below 90 degrees...."
I do feel large achievements should be worthy of main thread. But like very small ones just feels like spam...
Like I can go on Twitter and make 1 post for every random tweet I see and fill up the main front page in 30 minutes but I don't do it out of respect for people I share the forum with who has to look at my stupid threads, I try to keep it at one a day or one when my other thread leaves first page. I just think "achievers" should have that same consideration. -

Its not just BTS, I think stuff like PTD going #1 is worthy of an overall thread.
But achievements threads are purely for the fandom, I would say NCT,BTS,Aepsa, BLACKPINK have the worse offenders, but in general. Like 99% of the threads are just filled with akorn farming.
The txt thread is nice cause all the fans can go their and see, and the MYs one aswell or the BUTTER thread. But people wanna feel special and have their own threads just start posting random twitter stats, that alls outsiders of the fandom can say is "oh thats cool" otherwise if its any sort of disagreement, its just called inciting/derailing and ya get banned.

Fair points
But I have to say, I like knowing achievements from other groups how big or small. And because it’s on the main section, I usually will click the threads. I know how hard the idols worked and how happy those achievements make them feel. If it’s on another section, I won’t actively seek them tbh.
But yeah akp should make things more systematic too

Yes, BTS the pride of Korea is shattering WW records, some even decades old, and making new global records, so why not be in the main section? These are significantly important milestones, not only for BTS, but for SK as well👍👏

First page is like a achievement twitter feed.
-
Yeah it’s definitely gotten out of hand. If it’s framed in a way that promotes discussion than it’s fine, but there’s so many people just posting twitter links and nothing else and it just comes off as spam. Especially when it’s the same users just taking w.e post stan accounts post on twitter and re-posting it here.
If we wanted to see an achievements twitter account post, we’d follow them on twitter.
If every fandom just took w.e fandom accounts post on twitter like some fandoms are doing, this forums would be 3+ pages of just twitter links.
