So basically,they are written in order to cater to women's tastes and that's why I said it's a good thing, a compliment, if someone says stuff like "male characters written by women vibes".
It usually refers to men who are appealing to women first and foremost. Men in kdrama, Mr Darcy or Edward Cullen, Leonardo Di Caprio in Titanic. These men who don't bother with trying to appeal to a male audience, because basically no one in their audience is male anyway.
It's a good thing when you're in the idol business, that's for sure, lol.
Mmmh that's basically a difference between 'What a man thinks is attractive in a man' VS 'What a woman thinks is attractive in a man'. Obviously if you are man, writing for a male audience, your character will be written accordingly. If you're a woman wiring for a female audience, your writing will be completely different.
It's similar to the male/female gaze in movies really.

There exist also the oposite for when men write about women. Example: in such a video there was a pic of a sentense in a book that was written by a man and says "her firm round soft breats haning tightly where they belong" wich is quit BS ... just say she got boobs, nobody cares how her boobs are !

No it’s that men in real life are not as good as the ones written in books because book men are written by women. (Usually referring to the romance book leads)

The user said that what people usually mean by this is that men written by women show more growth and maturity. But that’s not true. Both men and women write characters that show growth and maturity. It depends on the writers ability not gender.
