What do you think about the SM Resurgence?

I highly doubt BTS's reign will end anytime soon. They are the biggest kpop act the world has seen and they rule the western industry when it comes to kpop(even if people deny it, a lot of companies want western recognition)And we can't really compare TXT and Enhypen to NCT. They basically just debuted. I feel like you might be right about HYBE new gg though. Some fans will probably hate on them but I feel like they can overcome it.

Nobody cares about kpop companies. Armys only care about bts not bighit or hybe

SM can be stupid sometimes but everytime everyone thinks they are doing something stupid atleast in terms of their kpop side (not side businesses) they surprise everyone..

The way kpop works can end up changing with the NCT concept which only seems to be proving very successful

Even JYP auditioned for SM, I don't see how this is surprsing to anyone. As long as my faves keep thriving as well I don't care.

I mean SM the company is just showing their dominance this year. They are the premiere kpop machine, SM manages to manage the most group releases and soloist than any other company rn, while still having a great pool of trainees.

If we wanna talk about profits than HYBE wins, but if we wanna talk about which company is actually working/performing the best, its SM hands down. That's why i still think SM hasn't lost their #1 spot yet. HYBE still needs a few more years to grow their catalog of artist (not including their tendency to just buy them)

Hybe family support each other. That's why txt, enhypen n seventeen are doing well because bts and army supporting them

SM is decline now that why he try to sell his share to anyone who can make huge invest in company. Because SM alone can't complete with hype anymore. While Bighit getting stronger pretty damn fast SM don't even have top touring group outside dbsk. Selling million album doesn't make that much money compare to tour and cf.

SM talented also getting worsen now. Their vocal can't comparing to seniors. Thier raps still meh and recently group aren't good at dancing now. Kids these day are looking at BTS and Blackpink as inspiration. Talented kids will go there too. I can't imagine how many talents will stupid enough to choose SM over bighit especially foreigners. Since everyone know how SM treat their foreigners.

SM is too old to keep up with new kpop wave. The day of fallen isn't that far. We will see it.

also @bprevolution is right about lsm's urgency to sell out while he can

sme lost so much money that it is officially no longer a 'blue chip' company anymore

kakao, line, and other firms with infinite money are also entering the market

i like sme in many ways, but it wasted too much resources on bizarre or backward ideas

aespa's smcu finally worked out, but it seems too little too late

with RV next comeback and probably Taeyeon or something from SNSD members, SM is just going to solidify their position as #1 company when it comes to success of all their artists and especially female acts (since they already have some of the top the male acts)

I got laughed at for saying this, even by SM stans, but SM has a puncher's chance of outselling Hybe this year in 2021 album sales, as long as BTS only comes back once this year with an album.

SME stocks has gone up like 50% over the last month.. so obviously shareholders are thrilled with what's been going on over the last month.

I'm sure LSM is sitting just fine with his stock at a 52 week high... sometimes companies have to take a step back to re-establish themselves as the competition changed... maybe if they didn't waste away all that money to innovate they wouldn't have hit the jackpot this time around. Everything is rolling for them now and once they can do concerts again, it can only get better.

Companies that just sit tight and reap profits without re-investments/innovations will eventually run into major problems. I'm looking at JYP.. let's see what they come up once twice contracts are up
