Actually both Itzy and Aespa are being hated for no reason. I don't think they are the punching bag of kpop hate, it's just that sometimes people just criticize them a lot more bc of various reasons so they seem to be more negatively see as others. But the punching bag? No.

Tbh their last release was weak in rap and vocal with Lia doing an incredible job and saving the music so it was kinda obvious people would criticize it. Criticizing something isn't necessary a hate thing, more like people were expecting something more and the expectation were not meet. Sure they suffer hate unnecessary, but unfortunately this goes to all groups.

tbh aespa hasn't been hated (at least not with this comeback) I mean the bp and aespa comparisons threads are mostly made by trolls, but other than that, they haven't had much criticism about their music or skills like itzy has. Not saying they should, but I'm surprised about the amount on unnecessary criticism and shay comments itzy has been getting a lot lately.

generally, " punching bag " in literature is used broadly to describe hate and a dog pile from a group or crowd. It's being used correctly here. You can't say something is an exaggeration of hate when that's what the term is simply used as today.

Yeah, I'm not on other kpop sites/forums, but on here Itzy has definitely become one of the most hated on girl groups

The MTIM vs Next Level thread yesterday was literally just asking people to pick between the songs and you had people shading Itzy's vocals and rap skills for no reason at all...it's sad to see people hating on other groups just because they want to uplift their own faves
