I don't know why newer kpop stans are afraid to listen to older songs.
You don't see young 15 - 16 year old being allergic to P!nk/Britney/Beyonce/Avril/Maroon 5/Coldplay/One Republic older songs, but in KPOP it's like as if they are being forced to listen to older music
And it's not even that old like 2000s old it's like 2010s old
When I saw some 2nd gen MVs for the first time, I seriously though that they were from 80s

Yes, I have been watching Sistar's performances lately, I really like their title tracks. I have probably watched all "I like that" stages because I love that song. In fact I have mainly listened to 2nd Gen Girlgroups (T-ara, Kara, Snsd, Girl's day....) and for now only the title-tracks. For boygroups, I have listened to a few songs by Big Bang and that is pretty much all.

Yes i have listened some. And i really don't understand why 2nd gen fan always attack 3rd gen & 4th gen. Some groups are better and some are worst then 3rd or 4th gen group, each gen got their good & bad groups.
I don't think it's a matter of being afraid or anything like that. In most cases, I think newer fans don't have time to visit older groups' discographies and they might even see it as useless considering these groups don't exist anymore.
Absolutely agree with this. 
Yes this what can be call "mainstream" music, they're do for get huge success but not to last over time. And I find a lot of kpop fan refuses to see this (maybe cause they're young) but they have to understand that the vast majority of groups ( in particular those of the big3) only make songs that follow a fashion and that will age very badly.
Groups that make music that ages well are minorities. And the groups which have music crossing the generations are the real the creators of masterpieces.

I was into kdrama and kvarieties before kpop.
Didnt stan any group but used to watch music shows and award shows as they usually have my fav actor and actress as MCs
The mvs might be a bit dated and some of the songs are outdated but still 2nd gen had some good songs. Lot of groups had hit songs and nit just some ggs or big 3.
Some of my favs from second gen are
2pm - my house , again and again (ignore jyp in the beginning) I love heart beat chorus but rest of song mainly rap is meh
Gg title tracks used to be played a lot in the varieties so I have heard most of the tt but never listened to bsides.
I got into Bigbang after watching Infinite Challenge Music Festival 2015
And also I really like f(x)'s discography. I checked them out after reading that Pink Tape took #1 at Billboards Greatest K-pop Albums of decade.
Apart that, I only listen to some tracks from 4minute and 2NE1
I used to listen to Super Junior and Girls Generation all the time (they are 2nd generation right?). But now if I go back and listen to their old songs again, it's just really feel outdated. Especially after listening to so many experimental songs from Red Velvet and NCT.
