What are your thoughts on Mafia In The Morning?

Itzy fan or not, you need to listen the songs. They try something new and really different from their previous title tracks.

I like it!! It was different from wannabe, not shy, and dalla. It was a new ITZY

It has its merits but the chorus torpedoes the entire song. It sounds almost like a parody of a bad k-pop song.

Easily the worst Itzy title track, and coming right after the previous title holder is not an encouraging sign.

I liked it but their b sides are even better

the mv was nice and the girls looks beautiful but i hate the title track song. Kidding me and Tennis are really good songs though. Tennis give me Turtle by Twice vibes. I hope they will have a stage for that song.

I like it, it's a different sound and concept from their previous titles.

The MV is amazing and I personally love the song! It's super catchy and THE VERSES ARE AMAZINGGGG

It is definitely different from their other title tracks. Dancing is great as always, the mv looks expensive.

I think JYP is preparing a better title track for the 2nd comeback of the year. Let's pray. I actually like the song now, it's better than Icy for me.

At the heart it's a typical Itzy Song, if you remember the lyrics of Dalla Dalla, then you'd understand that the protagonist of that song is basically doing what she wants.

Mafia is a BG Song where they put on their B Sides because it has no sense being a Title Song soooo.... naturally Division 2 wanted the song then thought OOOOOHHHHHHH F*CK there's no Got7

i love the chorus and they all slayed in the mv. Hopefully, the rest of the song will grow on me

Kidding me should have been the title track imo, i liked it more than mafia.

Lia's vocals stood out in this song it's good that she is getting more singing parts.

I don't know yet if I like the song or not, but the rap parts aren't as bad as people say I think they even improved a little, at least Yuna sounds better. I think Yeji should have gotten more vocal lines. I personally like her singing voice more.

I think Kidding me would have been a better TT. The drop, the rap verses and the outro are way better than In the morning

it sounds like nct gone wrong, it reminded me of that tragic boss stage, it needed more vocals though it is slightly growing on me.

I barely paid attention, but isn't the concept skewing off the Mafia game and using it as a framework for a secret admirer scenario.

IE, guess who's the one that likes you.

Which actually isn't very Itzy, or at least, it's not the Itzy of the first three eras which kind of avoided romantic cliches entirely.

But also why the guessing game?

I thought Itzy were not shy.

I had mixed feelings first listen

It grew on me quickly though, I think the only thing I didn't like was the chorus. The bridge was so powerful and they all looked so beautiful.

I prefer their other title tracks but I like this sound. The bsides were bomb though.

The MV was trying to make the trash song tolerable. I've never had such strong feelings towards a song like this before. Its taking Signals place as the trashiest song I've ever heard. I'm sorry but I sat there STUNNED because the MV was beautiful but the song was just like WTF JYP. What a mess of a song. Being honest with my opinion. Oh hell no, I'm not even going to give it a 2nd chance. My ears don't deserve it.

This explains why I don't like it honestly. Of course the 2 songs I despise with my entire being are from JYP lol

It's so so for me. I don't really like the rap (especially the talking part) and the ringdingdingding kinda ruin the chorus. But i applaud them for trying something different. The bsides are better imo.

Pre chorus was good, the rest was bad and cringey

For now, I rank the song below Not Shy, Wannabe and Icy. It might grow on me later, we'll see but for the moment I'm not tremendously enthusiastic about it. The mini album is quite solid though, possibly their best release.

In a typical Mafia Game, a Moderator will choose the Mafia, so the Mannequins represent the Citizens while Ryujin is totally a Mafia

The aim or tactic of the Mafia is to seduce, steal or convince the Citizens that they are real....

So..... In the Morning refers to part of the game where there are accusations and you can eliminate a player....

Yuna's lines are

Acts better than an actress

A fox that tricks the wolf

You won’t see a clue

But I have it all planned out, go

This is an example of a tactic that the Mafia will use, at night the Mafia will kill a person but in the meantime the Citizens don't have a clue what happens at night.

So the concept of the song is that Itzy are basically in control in Day and Night

Idk about the song, I didn't like it or dislike it.... They killed their choreo though and I liked their vibe in the video.
