my fav within itzy is Lia but they managed to survive without her for like a year??
and Itzy has never been a vocal group so I doubt Lia was the most important
I put yeji since she is the leader plus she had her solo debut first
my other choice was yuna

But my heart says YUNA! So if you pick Yuna I'll pick Yuna! Lol.

I don't see it as just about popularity.
Hell my bias is Tzuyu. Tzuyu and Sana had periods where their popularity was leveraged and they were for periods the most popular. But I don't see that as quite 1 and 1 with "most important".
In the group makeup, if I was designing a group like TWICE from the ground up. Nayeon would be my first ingredient.
And I believe JYP had that mindset.
Importance doesn't come down entirely to popularity, but it's a pretty big factor in an industry that doesn't typically prioritize talent. It's just hard to make a case for anyone in this particular group but Nayeon or Jihyo when they're given 80-90% of the songs to sing, and at least in the case of Nayeon, being pushed so hard in general. I don't have anything against Nayeon, I'm just not convinced it needs to be this way, but it obviously is.
