What groups or idols have you discovered through K-Dramas?

Because of Chen singing OST for DOTS and also Baekhyun and CBX for moon lovers really cemented that love.

I also liked FTISLAND because of hongki OST for heirs even tho I hate that drama lol.

Without kdrama I would have never bothered with kpop.

I was already quite familiar with kpop before I started watching kdramas so there are not many.

Had no idea who CNBLUE were before I watched a drama Lee Jungshin was in.

I crushed a bit on CLC Eunbin after I watched a drama she was in, but I already knew about CLC.

I'll bring you back to early 2000's when I saw this girl named Yoona Im starring in a drama called 'You Are My Destiny'. I thought her performance in that show was PHENOMENAL and fell for her. Then, after doing a bit of research, I was surprised to learn she was also a member of the nine-member group called Girls' Generation. So, since 2008, I've been her fan and in 2009, during the Gee era, I became GG's fan.

I think I discovered Bigflo because of one of them member being in the kdrama Boarding House 24.

I guess I kinda also discovered SS501 because of Boys Over Flowers, which was one of the first kdramas I ever watched.

Not kpop, but I think I kinda also discovered the Danish group Michael Learns To Rock because they had a soundtrack in the kdrama "Healer".

Even though I have heard their song "The Actor" before. (But back then I didn't know the name of the song or the artist)

Yep I think I actually found KPop through it now that I think about it, because I didn't know what Kpop was but I loved VIXX and had to find out more genres. Hongbinnie was in the drama.

Rowon from sf9, I didn't know the group, but I watched a drama in Netflix and he was the male lead and ha, hot hot, then I searched about him and discovered his group that has great songs.

Girls day Yura. I saw the first episode of a show on Netflix that I don't remember the name (it sucked) and I thought she was the prettiest girl I ever seen. That was before I got into kpop I think. It's kind of weird that in their music videos she doesn't stand out that much though. But I still find her very very pretty.

Also T-ara Jiyeon thanks to a webdrama with only 6 episodes called My Runway (loved it but it's very silly)

I watched “Girls’ Generation 1979”, discovered Bona, and then went on to discover WJSN.
