Obviously 3rd gen. Especially if we count boys and girls too. 2nd gen was ruled by girls, 3rd gen was the most competitive and equal, both in talent and visuals.
2nd gen: Bigbang, Shinee, Super Junior, 2NE1, f(x), SNSD, Wonder Girls and that's all.
3rd gen: EXO, BTS, iKon, NCT, Seventeen, AOA, Mamamoo, GFriend, EXID, OMG, Red Velvet, Momoland.
Yes, I ignored TWICE and Blackpink for a reason! Visuals are top-notch, but they lack talent. TWICE: Queens of autotune, thanks to JYP, and Blackpink, well, they only have Rose as an average singer, and Lisa who't a great dancer. Both groups represent the REAL meaning of IDOL, but we're talking about TALENT!
And these are just I followed regularly.
