Yes. K-pop companies have lost the spark they once had. I don't think there'll be any stand-out group from JYP or YG in the 5th gen, babymonster to me seems like they'll take on the same path Treasure has, except a little more popular. Just releasing the same YG stuff back to back with no prominent hits.

Riize is the only promising 5th gen boy group right now, aside from Boynextdoor, so I do see them getting bigger in the next few years, but nowhere on Exo or Seventeen's level. 5th gen is already starting off rocky. YG will be the first to fall, JYP might hold on for a little longer, but once Twice settles down permanently, and Stray Kids slow down for military enlistment, they're doomed.

5th gen hasnt even started yet. ZB1 is MNET's flagship 4th gen boy group with X1 gone. Riize is a 4th gen group that came after NCT which was a 3rd gen group. Babymon is BP's 4th gen successor, same as Treasure which was Ikon/Winner's 4th gen successor. Illin' is Belift's first 4th gen GG.

5th gen will start in 2025 most likely. Maybe it will start with Teddy's collab GG via Iland.

In the end big4 companies will probably still make more revenue even when the charting isn’t great. Sm and hybe are safe, in terms of future income. I don’t see cube overtaking jyp or yg. They only have g idle and cube is too incompetent. Their next boygroup will probably not do that well. There’s hope for starship to debut a popular boygroup, but to become a big4 company, it would take a long time and they would need to do more than just good.

What reality are you seeing right now because aespa is declining so fast anyone is not a blind fan of them can see it, they sold 50% less with their recent album, their music video is barely at 70M and on spotify 50M, underperformed very badly on billboard charts, they are clearly declining and they are barely 3 years old.

Korea is completely irrelevant to the success of my friend, twice will earn $150M in ticket sales alone in 11 months, only 2 will come from korea, twice still one of the best selling, most streamed on youtube and spotify despite doing very badly on korean charts.

Neither the 4th or 5th gen will end 3rd gen groups, those groups have solid fandoms bigger than most of newer groups ones, fans that are very loyal and even if 3rd gen bleed a little some fans due to slowing down activities and newer groups taking the spotlight their huge fandoms will still be big enough to sustain those groups. Bts, twice, blackpink, seventeen, etc, all those groups will end only when their own members decide is enough, as long as they continue promoting they will be on the top tier list of kpop groups.

5th gen will end K-pop

Looking at BM debut reception, 5th gen be more unpredictable.

What made aespa standout was their unique concept. Hybe has been doing the same thing with their ggs. But yg and jyp aren't even trying. If they continue this, I fear there will be no big gg from these companies.

JYPE GGs are selling millions of albums, making millions of dollars, doing so with low Song Rankings which would cripple other Kpop Companies' Girl Groups

I don't know why you think baemon can't do better later considering that aespa didn't do that good on their debut and later came with next level. I think is more wishful thinking from your part and baemon had a missing member and probably had to change a lot of things. We don't know the whole story but it doesn't mean they can't come up with a hit in their next comeback you know they can go viral if they have a good song and better promo

Besides they did well internationally so it isn't all bad
