At some point you’ll realise groups like BP and Twice stuck to their established sounds for so long for a reason

Theres a difference between sticking with what works and just becoming repetitive and samey.

No one wants a group to pull a Weeekly and do a breakneck 360, but IVE for example has shown you can stick to concept while still branching out

NJs have a style that is currently effective both in Korea, which doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things, and also globally.

While other groups which have little global growth (i.e. in album sales vs everyone else), as they are limited to t(w)een concepts, have to change drastically to get better growth in the global market.

If you are looking for a group that makes more diverse music from the same company; Le Sserafim's music progresses in a different variety as far as I can see. Although some claim that Unforgiven is similar to Antifragile; I think the two songs nothing similar to sonically. The concept outfits were similar only to the previous era. Newjeans music will be the same and kpop fans don't like diversity so they will probably listen to Newjeans until they get bored. You can look at the example of Itzy, because every CB they makes different music, they are always looking for something to criticize Itzy. Itzy truly practices what it means to be different. Even if you don't like their music, they don't make the same type of music in every CB.

Kpop fans love to talk about noise music, so we should create a new category: bland music. 2 minutes, singing is kinda murmuring, music goes nowhere. Everyone has their own taste and that's okay, but I find annoying how kpop stans try to act like any song who use heavy instrumentals and loud vocals is bad and musics that keep the same tune are the objectively better.

So shy sounds like a pinkpantrheress song but without the personality but I think aspa is going to be the more upbeat song cuz this teaser is so addictive

They're maintaining the sound that obviously works for them,it only makes sense lel

They're barely a 1 year old group.They have plenty of time to eventually grow and branch out.

I hate to admit it but that woman knows what she's doing, newjeans whether you find their music enjoyable or not are doing amazing and that in different markets around the world, and the image that woman crafted for them is fitting like a glove, they are pulling it off well. I am pretty sure, they'll continue to do well for at least 3 to 4 years and then they can switch off to a more mature image but still within what you'd expect them to do.

Their music is great and I honestly don’t get the problem with sticking to a concept and general feel. Also I think their songs so far, while they aren’t vastly different, have a good amount of variation.

Anyways, they have time to mature and explore new sounds, they’re only a year old and sticking to their style will help them cultivate a following that will stick with them as they try out other stuff.
