I think the reason why I am not ranting and arguing as much about Twice flopping in Korea is because I lowkey think they deserve it

Learning a new language is very hard. I took 4 years of French and can do basic conversations, I don't think I can answer some of the interview questions asked.

I dont have to spend hours practicing choreo, preparing for shoots and other idol related activities, 3-4 comebacks a year for most their career, interact with fans on social media, Twice did thousands of hours of vlive when vlive was still a thing, etc. Even haters wouldn't deny that Twice is one of the hardest working group out there, I think we can cut them some slack for not also having the time to learn another language.

But if only that was true... Twice have said they spend alot of time learning English. I've watched all their English interviews and there is noticeable improvement in their English capabilities.

Twice deserves all the success in this world.

Ok then lets look at othrr things Twice have done and how they react to criticism.

You have the whole music show encore fiasco when everyone was criticizing their live singing. What immediately followed? More acoustic performances. Members have talked about how the vocal lessons they're taking. More ad libs in their tracks. Bsides that shows off their vocals.

You have people complaining about no focus on individual members. Arguably it is a bit late but better late than never. Were seeing increase in solo promotions, sub units, first member solo and rumored future solos, individual IG accounts, and now solo performances on concerts.

You have people complaining Twice don't cater to international audience. I don't think I have to mention how Twice is doing international.

You think Twice isn't doing everything they can to remain relevant. I would argue Twice is one of the only few 3rd gen groups that is still relevant because of theyre doing everything they can. Twice is one of the few groups that actually listen to criticism and do something, if Twice isn't how people want them to be, I would blame all the people constantly criticizing everything they do.

I'm not saying I agree with everything they are doing but at the very least, I acknowledge they are trying to do something about it which is something you can't say about every group.

You may not feel they are doing enough, but please be realistic, there's only 24 hours in a day, and if you want Twice to get 8 hours of sleep too, something has to give.

What did they do to bottle Korea and what are they doing to bottle Japan?

I am happy they all re-signed, but I knew that they would since they are making squillions touring now.

imo they will just milk the cash cow in the next couple of years, then go on hiatus, as some are over it. But I do not blame them, as they have worked their butts off since they debuted, and they deserve the success that they are getting now.

But yeah, their songs have been so-so for many years, and jpy is not going to help them in Korea because 99% of their profits now is outside Korea.

I still do not understand how a person can train and work professionally for nearly a decade and still not be skilled

Still, the group is not dead. Most members have there own individual activities, and are finally succeeding. Twice won a Breakthrough Artist Award at the billboard woman awards 2023. This proves that twice wants to be better, they want to be appreciated, even if it’s not in Korea. Just because there are fans who choose to not support twice, does not mean they are failures. TWICE makes history as 'READY TO BE' earns the biggest first-week album sales by a K-Pop female act on Billboard 200. These are both huge achievements, this is what they trained for. They didn’t train to be disrespected, they still have plenty of fans that support them. What’s important is that twice is choosing to release music that they enjoy, everyone can have their own opinion, but please don’t disregard twice’s success.

Regarding Scientist...EXACTLY. Not only was it a retro LEGEND song and one of the top 3 Twice songs of alltime, everything that ICSM should have been tbh, it also retained their trademark cutesy vibes packaged in a more mature concept. How it got paid so much dust by fans and GP alike is something i will never understand, just as bad as how Blinks pay Ready For Love dust, or Midzys pay Boys Like You dust.
