The company will make some good money from all those streams and since fifty fifty is their biggest group, what else they will invest the money?

The company needs to capitalize on this comeback as much as it can because the next comeback will not do half as well, but I don't have much fate of them being able to keep the momentum going since it seems much of the success of the song comes from international charting, which is a lot harder for a small label to handle.

But even if they are able to maintain just a fraction of the attention, that would still be way better than the majority of kpop groups from a small label would ever get.

It is Warner Bros. I trust them. I won’t be surprised if this group breaks into top 15 of the radioplay chart.

BTS max audience was dynamite at 30M audience impression. Most of dynamite points came from sales and streams. At least contrary to kpop popular belief that BTS are sales driven, dynamite was doing 20M+ streams weeks into its charting after debuting with 33M+ streams

BTS did not become popular by having a viral hit so why would fifty fifty be the next BTS? BTS to a bigger extent and even other kpop groups who are on the top did so by developing a strong and consistent fanbase that would support them by buying albums and going to concerts.

If fifty fifty can convert their viral hit into album sales/cons/etc and generate consistent interest then they can become big. Otherwise they’re just an act with a viral song…. honestly those are actually dime a dozen on tiktok these days.

I wish them luck but in all honestly I just don't see this being more than a one hit wonder kind of situation. As we've seen before with many other K-pop groups (Momoland, Brave Girls, Oh My Girl, etc.) getting a hugely viral hit means nothing if you don't have the fandom to maintain that level of popularity. I've seen many conversations surrounding Fifty-Fifty, but very few actual stans.

And, even if you want to look on the other side of things?

In the West, when it comes to one hit wonders, those of the likes of Icona Pop (I love it), Rachel Platten (Fight Song), Carley Ray Jepsen (Call Me Maybe), Gotye (Somebody that I used to know), etc. all vanished after their massively successful hits because they lacked brand power and name recognition. I literally had to Google the names behind most of these songs because I couldn't even tell you who sang what.
