I think this has to do more with the fact he's with SM than anything else.

SM doesn't drop their stars like other companies. Had Garam and Soojin been at SM, I guarantee they'd still be promoting.

We see how SM shielded Taeyong and Irene, and they erased those nasty rumors about Karina before they gained any kind of traction. Lucas is just lucky he joined the right company.

Hopefully those two girls will be compensated or they should sue their respective companies. Cancel culture ran amok.

No saying It was what OP meant, but seems to be what comes to the mind of the majority of people.

It's also messed up they got booted for things they did in middle school while Lucas and Irene were acting like garbage as adults.

THIS right here. People try to turn it into a gender thing when in reality it's a company thing because if it were a gender thing sm would have canned Irene and Karina BUT they didn't

With Garam, it was more complicated because she’d literally only just debuted. I think if she’d been established, the company might have fought for her more.

Women definitely get cancelled/cut more easily than men, but I do think this comes down mostly to company protocol rather than gender.
