Even if celebs get canceled it’s because people get a thrill out of others getting dragged and losing their status etc not because it’s the right thing to do.
I personally can’t say I care that much either, I like a song I like a movie I just listen to it I watch idk the back story of the people involved every time and I don’t care also.

And yet somehow he manages to get past all of this and still have blockbuster movies and a fanbase.
What's even more confusing is that SRK, who's pretty much the same popularity+fanbase wise as Salman boi but somehow is getting death threats for lame controversies(cough cough besharam rang kahan dekha duniya walon ne
) even though he's like 100x less problematic than Salman Khan.Like the math doesn't add up.

Some groups were cancelled for less than that and their career really took a hit. 2PM Nichkun lost his it boy status after his drinking controversy, T-ara could not find success after a fake bullying controversy. AOA took a huge hit after the controversy involving the most popular member, Jimin and Seolhyun. They showed their ignorance about Korean history in a TV show and then Seolhyun had a dating scandal with Zico. Then their sales began to decrease like their digital performances.
Big Bang get away with everything because of their bad boy persona, the fact that the founder of their company is a criminal himself and because they are all Korean males.

Depends on the crime and if it got cleared or not. I doubt the majority of People would have supported BigBang if
1. Seungri was still a member
2. The other controversies weren’t confirmed to be false. And it doesn’t matter if other believe something else.
3. A lot can forgive if there was an apology.
Also most people can separate the art from the Artist. And others just participate in witch-hunts because they enjoy seeing the life of someone they don’t like being destroyed.

yeah he's done some image cleaning with his charity works and he's super nice to his fans so most people think he's an ok guy. But if you dig a little deep you'll uncover pretty much everything about him.
