This but seriously. Everyone should boycott anything coming from JYP until the latter improves song selection process.
I am fed up, this is getting tiring. Past 2 years were a mess of divisive music. Even though I personally did like songs like M&M and Alcohol Free, fact is, many Once didn't. Even though some of you liked Sneakers, Scientist or O.O, many of us didn't. So it shouldn't matter what you liked or what you didn't. What should matter is that overall the content of JYP ggs has been divisive and that ain't good, it shouldn't be that way.

If they don't like the album they don't have to buy it, but saying your going to boycott until they make a song you like is mad because taste is such a individual thing and people go from hating songs to loving them or vice versa all the time.
Also boycotts do work, moomoo's got RBW to push back a concert and CB, carats got pledis to stop a merch line, elfs got SM to stop adding random members (including pushing zhoumi and henry into being in SUJU M not SUJU proper) and NCTizens got SM to make NCT dream a permanent unit. It works when fans have a legitimate concern enough to actually agree its for the best rather than just saying I don't like this music change it.

But isn't the point of art and music that different people have different taste and you will never make something universally liked, the same can be said about the entire discog of all groups. As fandoms get bigger the taste of fandoms get more diverse and especially as groups grow older they don't want to be pigeon holed into the same sound. When Twice was doing more candy pop songs the majority of their fanbase liked that sound, but the fandom was divided in a different way e.g. 'x TT song is weaker than x TT song' or 'I liked x song better', you can see it now with IVE, so many dislike after like because they feel its weaker than their last songs. The exact same thing is happening here, its just that because they have fans who like a wide variety of music types the division is louder.
Also hot takes like this age like milk. Look back at peoples first impressions of IGAB or ring ding dong and people hated it. Hell look back at how much people hated aespa songs, and now look at how many love them. People 'hate' so many songs yet go back to listen them, songs are considered divisive yet in a years time people are going gaga over that same song. Content will always be divisive in some way and its the same for literally every group in the industry, not just JYP groups. There is literally no way they can win. If they go for a sound their fans have always liked its boring, if they try something new its too much. Remember how everyone wanted momoland to make a boom boom 2.0, they did and people said it was too similar? blinks are divided with half asking for a change of concept and some wanting the same as before. I could literally give endless examples. This is nothing to be concerned about, its just how people are and how art is.

Not even gonna read the rest with this absolutely terrible take. No, that's not the point. That's literally the opposite of the point. Are you telling me the movies and songs that are considered the best aren't universally liked? You really think you wrote some genius stuff with your essay.
