I agree that Tomboy is bigger than Gidle themselves. That being said, their next comeback is gonna be their most important one. If they try to replicate Tomboy (the song) they will flop

Idle debut went viral in the kpop community and for a non big3 group it charted great. Their follow up cbs were received well and their songs are known, their Kingdom appearance did their reputation an amazing upgrade (even more as they were already admired) and despite all the things that happened with them, they still came back and topped the charts.

Idle was never a nugu group and i don't think suddenly they'll be. They release great songs since forever, i think they have more chances to go up seeing their quality.

How is anyone supposed to know when they havent made a cb since tomboy?

even besides tomboy; their b side my bag was popular for international fans. They should do a song like crazy by 4minute.

Like you said they have moderate hits but it would be considered flops if it was released by Itzy or twice let’s be honest. However they have been consistent for years, it’s not like they blow up like MMD or Brave girls.

I don’t see them replicate tomboy‘s success but for now they will do better than Tomboy pre-era.
