His Lawyer made a statement about Amber Heard which was false so she countersued Johnny for it and won. Had nothing to do with what he accused her of.

He already won when the Judge allowed the trial to be televised, I feel like it was more fair that way

I'm actually surprised by the results since I heard it is incredibly difficult to win a defamation trial, I mean his legal team did a pretty good job that much even I could tell

It's hard to win defamation trials against news outlets not so much against individuals. Being televised didn't change anything it only exposed her directly to people

It was specifically the quote from Waldman about the 911 incident. He essentially said that she and her friends called the police, but there was nothing there, so then they trashed the place and called them again.

But that doesn't make sense to me, because if that was a lie, who trashed the place??

Asking for sense from this particular jury is probably a bit much. Wonder if there will be an appeal. The Heard side already prepped the groundwork with this recital of rejected evidence:

am I the only one that isn't satisfied with the results? I think both were toxic but he is the only painted as the nice guy when he had a history of violent behavior in the past. He definitely isn't innocent as people think.

The jury were too thick to realise $5m for punitive damages is much higher than the statutory cap. It was reduced to $350,000.

So Heard pays Depp $10,350,000.

Depp pays Heard $2,000,000.

But maybe there's an appeal, and then who knows what happens
