I've done a really good job in the last year and a half about not talking negatively about any individual idol but I feel I had a rare slip up recently and I'd like to say I'm sorry.
I apologize to Hanni and her fans on allkpop for calling her a spoiled rich girl who doesn't appreciate where she is and what she has achieved so far in her career. It's wrong to assume anything about someone you don't know personally. I should know this better than anyone as a MeU.
It's true I've wanted the downfall of NJ for a while now but I didn't want it to happen this way. I wanted it to happen fair and square with a continued streak of mediocre music at best that would eventually bore people to tears and have them jump ship. I didn't want it to happen because Bang PD asked MHJ out on a date and she hell no and then out of anger and humiliation he accused her of trying to highjack Ador.
So again I'm sorry. Keep slaying Hanni and making your fans happy.

I use to stay up late watching Hanni fancams while singing her love songs like "Love dive" and "Love in the Ice" and "Who's your Mama" and more recently when she changed her hair "f(x) Gangsta Boy".
But after the scandal hit the magic is gone. She went from being the only idol who could realistically knock Rei from the top spot of 4th gen for me to just another spoiled rich girl who doesn't appreciate everything she has thanks to her shady and groomy bff/mommy CEO.
I hate to be a cliche but I've moved on to a younger and fresher group and now crushing on Illit Minju.
Thanks for the memories Hanni. But I don't keep in touch with ex's so now I'm singing "You Got the Wrong Number (so don't call me noooo mmoooorrreeee)"

LeSserafim: Favorite of Hybe by far. More a fan of their B sides than promoted singles. Although 4th gen peaked with Blue Flame. Kazuha is already a legend.
NewJeans: Sigh....oh god. Ummm they make music for retirement home elevators (which you would think would be great for me) and do modelling. My least favorite girl group since Blackpink and Red Velvet. But at least those two groups actually made kpop music.
Illit: Still on the fence. Need more music to make a determination. Didn't care for anything except My World which I got dangerously close to becoming addicted to especially the live stages. Moka and Minju are really dreamy. This group will be the biggest toss up for me I've ever come across. So TBD.

Every time I go to the main page I see articles about "Wonyoung receives praise for her visuals", "Nayeon receives praise for her dancing skills", "Moka recevies praise for her live vocals", "BTS receive praise for their respectfulness and manners".
What is actually happening here? Is this a business/industry or a god damn day care? Only pre school kids get praised for doing what they are supposed to do. This must be part of the continued infantilization of kpop idols as fans pat their faves on the head for being such good little boys and girls.
I'm going to ask my employer to praise me every day for showing up and showing up on time and getting my work done in a timely manner. I'm curious how that will go over. Or maybe we can start small and just everyone praise the user above you for the most mundane thing you can think of.

Kpop groups are dancers first, models second, and singers third. They won't be able to perform at 70 like real musicians.
