I think the main problem is kpop rappers don't actually start out as rappers. A lot of them are just thrown in that position because they can barely sing.

honestly I think there are bad rappers everywhere, but i think we should give more credit to western rap since kpop takes heavy inspiration from it

It's already happening, but once a 4th gen group manages to get a hit song it's going to be even louder. People just can't accept the reality that eventually the new generation will replace the spot of the old. People at the top eventually will reach their peaks and fall back down. It happened in the transition from 2nd gen to 3rd gen and it is slowly happening now. I thought it would stop since 3rd gen stans experienced it firsthand, but I guess the cycle of abuse continues.

Treasure is the first ateez song I ever heard. I got an ad for its MV and that's what got me to stan. IMO it has aged so well and slaps as hard as the first time I listened to it. I love the use of autotune in the beginning/raps and the chorus feels like an anthem.
