Anon forums

  • We are already anonymous on here by default, the fact that certain people need an extra layer of anonymity because they're that scared of backlash is the epitomy of pathetic.

  • idk if they're really txt and enhypen stans tho. the way they set up both groups doesn't seem like it to me.

exactly. setting up txt and enhypen like their life depends on it

meanwhile beomgyu and heeseung are facetiming :p :P:p :P

girl pls there's a total of 4 and a half engenes on here and most of them also stan txt :eyes:

edit: I thought OP was referring to moas and engenes fighting each other,I may have misunderstood lol

Especially since some of the threads start off so innocuous... Like, if it was a sincere question or thought, there's no reason it couldn't be posted in a normal forum.

    let's be friends

  • some users are very obvious, very easy to tell who they are :angryr:

Were you around when it was possible to write your names in anon (because some of us don’t care about being anonymous), but the admins censored them after few users were impersonated there.. so don’t be too sure of who is commenting

My advice, just enjoy the anon (or if you get triggered, better stay away) and don’t think too much about who is commenting what.. users can still impersonate others by using obvious style of comments.

literally this. I'm known to speak my opinion regardless. Its funny and cowardly af that people care so much about their already anon persona, they need an extra anonymity just to argue lmao.

  • You can come on my thread it's not in anon :pepelove1:

If you really love something, you have to know how to let go.

  • As a new user here, I am surprised of so much hate or fake concerns for Enhypen or Txt or even the entire 4th gen groups. Gosh, some people are just born haters , I guess.

For those anon thread about EN & Txt, believe me no engene or moa will start it. It is probably just a set up. Most engenes or moa ( or even other 4th gen fans) will just react if they see their idols being discredited or insulted. So the real question is, why those posers are just doing it in anons pretending to be a fan of a group they probably hate.

  • Y'all ain't detectives not even staff know who is who.

I get accused of being anons I'm not a few times.... It seems obvious but it's really not always the person sometimes people put on a different wording to confuse people.

THIS. You think you know, but the reality is that these cowards impersonate people all the time. I'm saying this to try to help and avoid situations where you may try to hold it against a fandom or certain users based on an assumption. Cause that's all it is - an assumption. There is no way to tell who is who in anon, even if they "sound like" xyz.

I think somebody pissed you off, or you wouldn't use cowards as a word.

But I agree with you 100 percent. They are cowards.

That's why I have that whole section blocked.

Nah I've long thought they were cowards. No one pissed me off. Like carrot-juice, I feel it's pure cowardice that on a site where you are already an anonymous pseudonym, they can't find the courage to post even as that anonymous pseudonym and have to resort to saying shit on anons for jollies. If that's not cowardice...

    I agree with you.

    BUT

They spent time to grow a certain type of personality in this forum. They garnered friends, sympathy and even acceptance. If they would show their hand, that their personality is actually shit, those friends, that image...would crash.

I see that as deceit. Same with alts. They are trying to deceive you and that's not cool in my book.

  • I'm just speculating here, as we have no clue who's who in Anons, but keep in mind there are tons of users who never post in the main forum at all. They have 0 posts, but they still lurk and follow along with the happenings of the forum. It could easily be one of those.

Please do not make assumptions by assigning identities to posters in Anons. Generally, people here are rather peaceful. Don't let the negativity break us apart.

With that said, we (moderators and admins) try our best to discern what's acceptable and what isn't. We have our own favorite groups and fandoms. Sometimes it's impossible to follow along with the niche, specific hot topics or the ongoing trends of discussion.

If there's ever any sly remark that's approved as a thread or a post in Anons, please don't take it as our tolerance for such behavior. These posters are clever, phrasing things a certain way as not to alert us to what they're really trying to do. I think we've come along way, doing better in this regard compared to earlier on. If there's ever anything that you find questionable, please report and we will take action as needed.

It took a good while for me to get the hang of it, but I think I got it for the most part. There's often some hot topic that these posters feed off and capitalize on by making threads about subtopics related to it. They also shade certain fandoms not by name, but by bringing rhetorical, seemingly innocent questions about the fandom's behavior. As far as I see it, they often do not care about these groups; they just want you to fight for their entertainment whether between fandoms, within fandoms, or cross-generational. I try to be extremely wary of this, with many threads not getting approved. Much of it is trial-and-error, relying on responses to those threads as feedback. If it's obvious what's going on is pure spitefulness, I close or delete the thread.

Do not let a few bored faceless, nameless people create tension within your fandom, towards other fandoms, or towards well-known users.

  • Can some mod mark this post as Best Answer? :*

  • I see that as deceit. Same with alts. They are trying to deceive you and that's not cool in my book.

Of course its deceit. But it's not coming from a place of darkness.

It's their own fear that makes them hide behind that double door of being both anonymous on a forum and further more anonymous whilst hiding their actual username(which is already anonymous).

Honestly? I would call them pathetic. If they would have the guts they would say so on their main.

Which is already anonymous. But cowardice...well, that is a fear that not most can overcome.

I disagree. That fear is a dark place indeed. If you want to be a better person, be a better person. It's a lifestyle change - you don't get to cheat and still call it good. It's a pretense then.

I'm an idealist, but I stand by my principles. Hiding behind an extra layer of anonymity to let out some inner troll, yet where they can annoy others is the very definition of cowardly - and it is pathetic too - ESPECIALLY the ones that impersonate others.

  • I also wanted to add that Anons can be a safe space for having insightful and wholesome discussions. Being here long enough, I know many users who have positive thoughts towards rival groups and fandoms, but are often too afraid to express that publicly for various reasons. It might not be "hyping up your favorites," but they at least have some well-intentioned thoughts to share.

Just putting that out there because I want to encourage more of that. Contrary to popular belief, Anons is not supposed to be a free-for-all bashing zone. Ideally, it's for honest but rational opinions, including praise and compliments along with the inevitable criticism.

  • Wait, threads in Anon subforum are moderated and subject to moderator approval? I just assumed that the purpose of Anon was to let folks vent and spew hate without infecting the main board with it, within reason of course, i'm sure explicitly racist/sexist/homophobic threads get deleted.

Yes mate, so am I. An idealist to the bone. But I also understand those who are lacking. It's not their fault they were born that way.

Genetics, family background, friend circles and so on. We both know and met such people.

I for one pity them. And it's my inner self that want to save them from that.

Even tho I know factually that I cannot, because I do not know them personally.

    But still a shame.

Cowards, bred to be cowards, by cowards around them

  • I can understand it as well, but it doesn't mean I condone it. This is where we differ, because while I understand why some people might fear, I do think they can change and should want to change. Sadly, I know there are some who do not and are content to be trolls as they derive happiness from other's discomfort. But hey, it' a sick, sad world we have to live in. Don't expect AKP to be any different in the end. Moderation and rules can do only so much.
