I think for more successful/popular groups, the moment they see a flaw, they'll be opportunistic and start gobbling it up.
I mean, criticism is always valid ofc, but hate isn't. They are chasing clout.

1. People pretending to like them because of their achievements, but waiting the moment to show their true colors
2. Another kind of opportunist people who openly dislike them, but keep in silence until aespa gives a "reason" to be dragged, so they can start their cicle jerk

I check it out sometimes but anon is almost the same as stan twitter, everyone gets constantly dragged so no need to take it seriously. I feel you weren't even around for the dragging other groups experienced in the past, this is nothing in comparison

genuine and valid criticism.
I mean I've seen multiple people giving them constructive criticism but for many users you can only hide actual hate behind the guise of "It's my opinion! It's valid criticism!!" for so long.

This is the path of all the top groups must walked. they get constant bashing and slandering when the small window of opportunity arrives. The reasons because not only fans but trolls, antis, haters, non-fans will always watching their moves. The more they think this group will be huge, the more hate it will come. It-is-what-it-is just like your username OP
That's why I don't believe that aespa will affected by numerous ggs that will debuting next year because I haven't seen yet another 4th gen gg that get the amount of hate and hype as big as aespa. Even before they debuting they already got much hate, get on those level first and then maybe we'll talk about future ggs replacing aespa. as Simple as that.

People should focus on SM, you know when an idol stops moving their mouth according to lyrics something must be really wrong. I'll never not find funny losers on the internet calling out sucessfull artists for their lack of something majority of the timed they themselves don't possess. Some people were also making sure to name my faves so we the fandom and the girls will prolly pay for their ass behaviour.

anytime successful groups have any sort of issue/weakness people like to jump on it and make it a huge deal. Happens to tons of groups like BP, twice, bts etc.
Its the bandwagon mentality. its "in" right now to hate on aespa. maybe in a few days it'll be a different group. that's how this stuff work, unfortunately.

Outside of anon, the ones I saw were mostly civil though, valid criticism gaslighted by fans and obvious itzy comparisons
valid but many of them choose to ignore the reasons why are these happening and just concluded it as Karina stiff dancer, aespa no stage presence, aespa boring stage, lipsynch queens, etc etc. And then bye bye, they are gone from the thread and still believe with their own assumptions.

It's partly SM's fault but group with stage presence can pull any performance with any outfits on any stage. But Aespa doesn't have any. The 4th gen leaders title should come with at least some responsibility. They can have numbers to back them up but also should give their best to prove they are really the best and top. If not I don't see value in this title.

Yes. We had a whole thread about Mama and some people pointed their criticism about aespa performance, was necessary the other ten thousand threads about how the performance could be better? And as a My, is annoying how it happens all the time, we can't be happy to see the girls performing because everytime there's a lot of comments putting them down, the parade thing was the same, 3 out of 4 members got a cold, but was their fault if the performance wasn't perfect.

even the greatest actors of all time couldn't managed to save a film managed by bad scriptwriter and bad director.
Good Performance consists of performers, performance director, stage lighting, make up artist, stylist, etc etc. All of them must be able to create harmony together. if 3 out of 5 reasons are bringing them down, no matter how big (you claim) about stage presence is , they can't pull at all. If you say they can, then you are biased.

where did you get the idea that leaders need to be best at the top. Hello? Twice always got bash for their singing. Blackpink always got shade for their singing and somewhat performance. Itzy always got shade for their vocals. Even BTS the biggest act had their fair share of criticism for their singing in encore.
I swear some of you are so inventive now. You know what. I am cooking up a thread related to live singing, lipsynch, autotune and fake singing, and show you why the kpop idols market obsessed with perfection created a problem. This might upset alot of people because I am gona attach idol videos to show examples.

No group is immune to bashing but as a fan myself I have just felt a little disappointed in their live performances lately. They are still a good group and have had some good songs but I just feel they could put in a little more effort that's all.
This is understandable, and I share the same sentiment. I am sure the girls want to show the best performance, but SM gota create a stage and exciting added dance to their peformance so the girls can get excited. I would have bore and uninterested too if I was to dance to the same choreography over and over again.
Edit. For example, introduce with their hype song aenergy with light choreography, then transition into their title songs. Make a the choreography blend with each other. Like, create something news and old combined. They don't have to totally sing entirely live, but atleast have them sing with backtrack. I believe most idols groups at MAMA did the same thing by the way.
This is SM problem by the way. They always want perfect vocal and don't invest much in Performance and stage.
They did the same for NCT.

Okay 1 stage shouldn't really define how good of a performer you are. There are going to be days where idols don't feel good and don't have the best stage. Also, this is probably one of Aespa's first big stages. Keep in mind concerts haven't been happening so they haven't really experienced a true concert unlike other groups who have had some concerts before a show as big as MAMA. Yes, their performance was a big stiff and lacking and part of it is on the girls but another part is on SM. Also people do improve. Some groups have this talent from the start and other groups improve upon it. People were saying that BP didn't have any stage presence but they got better. Aespa could also get better. Now do I like Aespa, no. I'm not a big fan of any of the recent groups SM released but we should give them another year or two and see if they improve before making a decision about their performance.
And also SM, WE NEED BETTER STAGES FOR AESPA
