Yoona I guess
How many it girls of 2nd gen are still relevant except Suzy?

Yoona is still going strong with hit films, multiple dramas, and ongoing major endorsement deals.
She is the quintessential long term "visual" success story.
And has become a long term brand at the upper echelons of Korean entertainment.
-
Because she is a singer known for her songs , voice and skills more than cf and movies I think.

It all depends on what your definition of 'it girl' is, that term has been abused and misappropriated by hardcore fan extremists far too often playing PR promoters and propagandists in order to spam promote their own biases
But when it comes 2nd gen icons, then the ones that are definitely still relevant and present are Taeyeon, Suzy, Yoona and IU.

It's actually a strong ratio of 2nd gen it girls who are continued successes.
It's often just discounted as many are not as involved in the active "kpop idol scene" as they were in their early careers.
They have mostly transitioned to more adult venues, so you don't see as much attention paid to them on forums like this that heavily focus on the "youth kpop" stage of careers.

Like do they make a name for themselves in acting or anything that keeps them relevant. Suzy is still huge in acting industry. Yoona still doing acting and cfs. Taeyeon even if I don't consider her as a traditional it girl is still having hits. I don't mean relevant to kpop world but did they continue with their popularity in other ventures.

Seolhyun, Hyeri, Taeyeon, Sooyoung (not a Yoona but she is still getting consistent acting gigs), Seohyun (same as Sooyoung), and Hani (she has fallen off a bit but she's still acting).
Like Eman said, most of them have gone into acting (except Taeyeon). They aren't CF queens like Suzy and Yoona, but they have stable and secure careers in acting.
Edit: Seolhyun is still getting consistent CF deals so she doesn't fall as much into that category. Also Sooyoung and Seohyun weren't considered IT girls so I guess they don't really fall in that category either so yeah Seolhyun, Hyeri, Taeyeon, and Hani.

Well I and others have named most of the major IT girls from 2nd gen. And the ones named largely all have successful, relevant, ongoing careers in acting, modeling, and elsewhere.

It girls of 2nd gen:
Sohee: not much heard about her but she's still getting acting jobs
Yoona: pretty busy, with 3 dramas/movies, still have a lot of high end CFs and just won an Inkisang in Blue Dragon
Taeyeon: still releasing hits and active in Nolto
Hyuna: still very visible and prominent with her comeback last year
Suzy: pretty busy as well I presume, I don't follow her but Suzy is Suzy
Seolhyun: has some acting jobs here and there as well
Hyeri: still going strong with her acting career
IU: still the most relevant girl in Korea
Most It girls go into drama/film and most if not all are pretty set for life. But some do have a busier career than other

i'm not cool did a little buzz in korea, it wasn't a major hit but it wasn't a flop neither
and she still get some post about her trending in korea community

"It girl" is yet another fuzzy thing in K-pop, every one will have a slightly different measure.
Mine is CFs.
And among CFs - Soju brands
From 2nd gen, these are the ones
- IU - Chamisul.
- Suzy - Chumchurum.
- Girl's Day's Hyeri - Yipsejoo.
- A Pink's Naeun - Joeun Day.
- A Pink's Chorong - Siwon Soju
Even among Soju - Chamisul is the market leader and when IU "unprecedented" returned as the model for Chamisul, after already an unprecedented 4 years, that was an impressive indicator of her "it"-ness.

Apink with 2 girls doing soju cfs. Their success and popularity i feel is underrated .

She is. I just didn't mention her because I didn't really follow her. I mentioned the ones I actually kept track of.
-
Yes. one of the cases, which mystifies me about fame. But then nobody has understood yet, how fame finds some and not others - even if they are comparable in talent, hardwork, strategy etc.
But then we have seen Brave Girls this year.
Kpop is more unpredictable than horse races or roulette.

Because she is a singer known for her songs , voice and skills more than cf and movies I think.
It shouldn't really matter how she got there, the fact she was regularly a huge draw on TV and radio, tops polls often, massive popularity as a person (excluding her music success) and even has a fair few cfs + mags shows she was easily up there up there in the same tier as Yoona and Suzy. It's more amazing Taeyeon managed that mainly focusing on singing rather than the usual visual route like almost every other it/trendy girl.

Tbh i was thinking more about female idols from kpop groups. Many people mentioned her over here.

I guess she still for me doesn't fit in the traditional sense of a it girl. But yeah it amazing how she is still able to get hits and has kept her self relevant in the music industry. So many young artists become nugu after few hits.

She is the Schrodinger's cat of Kpop, every assessment first has to decide whether she is a Kpop idol or not. :)
But in this case, should Suzy, Yoona, Taeyeon even be counted still as Kpop idols? Suzy and Yoona don't even make any music.,
Only Apink Naeun is 2nd gen, definitive idol, still making music and an It girl.
Anyway these discussions will run forever without some boundary/definitions.
-
Yoona I guess
some of these idols weren't it-girls, but they are relevant now.
sunmi's pretty relevant.
IU ofc
Taeyeon doing great
Nauen is still relevant( heck apink been doing quite well the last couple of years)
lee hyori....but she's 1st gen I think? queen shit...she's always relevant lol
if u consider JESSI 2nd gen since she technically debuted then.

Yoona released a few singles and have an album, so did Suzy.
Not sure why you're questioning them just to emphasise on Naeun.

Who would you consider NOT an IT girl?
Let's ruffle some feathers.

I am questioning the parameters of an idol, if only idols are to be It girls - not individual cases.
All of the aforementioned are idols, they started their career as an idol. Hence why they're still included as such inspite of their lack of music activities.
