BTS underperformed with their Korean songs and hit with their English songs.

BP underperformed with their English song and hit with their Korean songs.

But overall, i think this shows that it's impossible for even digimons to have megahits every time. I bet if you looked at the charting of even the most popular GP soloists, trotists, balladeers or whoever like Paul Kim, you will see the same thing. A record of both hits and misses.

Kill this love underperformance was I think mostly due to YGE BS scandal and how big the boycott of their artists was... I doubt any group would have done better.

Unfortunately we've seen this happen with other groups that had a huge break with a song and couldn't follow up. Especially because the companies try to recreate the original circumstances of the hit song using the same concept and sometimes even almost copying it like in the case of Baam.

Black Swan didn’t underperform.. it’s a top 10 hit in korea. Also Dynamite isn’t even the next song that came out after it.

Very true, KTL got a lot of hate but it peaked at #2 on Gaon and ended up with almost 600M 561M Gaon points. That's more than 99.9% of Kpop title releases.

Edited since i mixed up KTL Gaon points with Heartshaker lol.

The point is everyone is prone to an underperforming song so it should not be given as much importance as people like to give. Because in broader perspective it might not even matter.

Tempo is said to be EXO's most popular song in the West, so I think it is not the best example.

Although it pains me, Power is a better example.
