I don't think that Jennie is the most beautiful idol when we think about names like Irene or Jisoo. Jennie is definitely very pretty but what makes her so popular is her special charm, her sweet face and her style. She managed to get to the top because of these things. Without much musical promotion or many show appearances. A good looking face is not everything.

tbh Jennie has a big appeal and aura (which isn't easy to replicate) she isn't my bias but she has a way to captivate people with her personality. She seems intimidating at first but she is a sweetheart. Also, Jennie is pretty well rounded she can sing and rap and she has a nice flow. She is that fashionista that can be also be down to earth.and people look up to.

I think there will be a ton of competition. Itzy members are on the same boat and has been around for a couple of years. Both Yuna and Yeji are beautiful as well and it hasn't happened yet. YGNGG & BGNGG will debut eventually and you can bet there will be elite visuals in both groups. There's still the former izone members from starship. 4th gen gg will have intense competition. Its going to be exciting times for gg stans.

Tbh, Karina has a great potential. Since Karina is no shortage from body, face shape, proportions and talent. Especially Koreans are liking the Quail egg face shape that Karina has and her beautiful body proportions. She also numerous times going viral in K-forums and she has many dedicated haters especially in pann (sign of the next IT).

However, idk if she can surpass Jennie tho. Time will tell.

I was actually thinking of making an appreciation thread for Jennie for a while but mostly about her rapping but I might as well do one for all her skills lol Karina isn't a bad idol in terms of skills but she is a bit stiff and Jennie might have stamina issues but she is pretty flexible in her movements she is an alright dancer.

depends to some degree yes in the sense of dancing style if you ask someone who knows about dancing they will tell you dancing technique can be analyzed. The thing with SM girl groups is that there is a big gap between main and lead dancer that's not issue with JYP girl groups or even blackpink for example. Lisa and Rosé and even Jennie is not that behind Rosé.

actually no. Lisa is better but there isn't a huge difference same with Momo and Jihyo

I don't know who's main dancers in Aespa but they're worse main dancers SM ever produce way lower than seulgi level. All of them are average at best.

Well, this is is some compelling argument s/. If this is the case, then we don't even need to evaluate idols' talents. Silly goose, Of course dancing and singing are objective. Sure, they both can't measure like math, but singing and dancing have proficiency level. If this wasn't the case, then kpop companies just grab random people with a beautiful face and debute them. and this thread doesn even need to exist because I know my fav is the most talent and no one telling me otherwise. Everyone can be a kpop idols. Why don't you go and debute in kpop since you are saying those traits are subjective.
