I quite literally don't understand the logic or reason behind their dissatisfaction with a member of their favorite group winning an award. It just doesn't compute. Can someone explain this lore to me, because I could never fathom me or anyone in my fandoms being upset if a member of Mamamoo or NewJeans won an award
Hell, MooMoos saw that happen a ton with Hwasa during the peak of her popularity. There was never any friction or tension.

In the long and storied history of music groups, idol or not, I can't think of a single one where all individual awards are divvied up evenly so that every member has equivalent success and nobody stans out too much

Just yesterday Jimin stans were posting proofs on DC Gallery about voting for another artist, justo so that Jungkook couldn't win, even when there was no other BTS member nominated. With the result today, they are bitter because all they did to prevent him for wining didn't work.

i think bang and his hybe minion are probably in control of these fandom centers. to me, it tells me that there is probably an ambiguous relationship between bang and JK. (obviously it's pretty hostile between v and bang too)
but this bang vs jk dynamics are a bit more complex. it's a mix of favoritism but also jalousy. bang doesn't want jk to get 'too' big, maybe even bigger than bts and again threaten HIS supremacy. and then maybe to leave? or just not depend on him... or not even, to just overshadow the pseudo 'real bts mastermind main character' that bang probably thinks he is.
jk is quite handsome, talented and popular, so i wouldn't be surprised if bang is half seething with jaleasy with him, maybe even wishing HE was JK. Younger, more famous, more handsome, more talented. Getting the girls he want without having to pay them

It's quite obvious there are some fanbases that are directly linked with the company and staffs, proof of that is Jimin stans knew about Jungkook and Jimin military buddy system way before there was any news about that, same as Jungkook working in the military kitchen, which he confirmed weeks later. They also knew about Jimin releasing a 2nd. album after enlisting (everyone suspected it, but they had the exact release date), so they were sorting out all kind of resources months before.
Jungkook has always said that he is not the typical idol and that he is really difficult to handle, he doesn't like when people tell him how to act, think or react to something, so I'm pretty sure, that's something the company doesn't like. For example, the Weverse lives that he made last year where clearly not something that pleased the company too much, but he still went ahead with them; he closed his IG with the number of followers that he had without giving a second thought; even in his last solo album showcase in Korea, RM asked JK why he didn't invite Bang PD to the event.
It was unbelievable for me that the company was releasing reports about him having the less potential between the members, when he is one of the most popular and talented ones; so, it will not surprise me if they were feeding him with that mentality to try to control him. Last year Bang PD wasn't the one that pushed him to start his solo career, it was because Scooter who saw his potential, and after Jungkook started noticing how good results Seven had, he started gaining confidence which led him to want to release his solo album.
Some members could be more attached to the company, but since the first contract renewal discussions, the members talked about JK and Taehyung not being sure about renewing and being one of the last ones to agree to continue.
JK is really a free soul, so you can tell his decision to continue with the company all this year is strongly linked to his love and commitment with BTS, ARMY and his love for music, but you never know what could happen after his military service and the preexistent agreements they made as a group. I wish for the best for everyone, but I really hope they and specifically JK starts thinking more on himself and what he wants as an individual. The fandom behavior is becoming really toxic and it's time for the fans to be aware about BTS members being adults and not entertainment puppets, and to know that everyone at some point will take a different path (even when they continue working in group stuff sometimes), and not all of them will have the same success.
There's no day without an angry ARMY. Nothing new here. I mean, even today, I saw some ARMY guys attacking Cristiano Ronaldo and Mr Beast or whatever his name is, because he said the most viewed VIDEO on youtube was something, but ARMY said it's a BTS music video, and they didn't realize he was talking about a NORMAL VIDEO, not MUSIC VIDEOS!🤣

The BTS members are great at always highlighting each member's strengths and insisting that each member is indispensable. They show a strong team bond consistently through the years, while also being vulnerable about rocky paths.
That somehow translated to: "All 7 need an equal amount of success and whoever gets too big needs to be torn down" in the fandom.
That is not what the members have ever demonstrated in their content. In fact, they show up in each other's solo content.
I may not bias Jungkook as much anymore, because I didn't click with his solo content fully. But I hate the way he's been torn down since the solo era started by so-called ARMYs.
And I'd call myself a casual because I don't feel as dedicated as other users here, but it's still upsetting to see.
I also don't like how hate then gets thrown back at Jimin or other members. I honestly appreciate ARMYs here. Everyone shows up a little extra for their bias and that's okay. But I've seen more love toward all 7 here than outside the forum.

Taehyung recently posted about meeting ARMY as BTS in 2025
and some of his solo fanbases cut that part out in their translations. Why ? Because it doesnt quite fit the narrative that they've spun and spread about him wanting OUT.
So if you find "armys" hating on bts members then they arent really OT7 armys
they are either ot6 with a weird hatred for one member (these types are rare I think)
or solo stans who do not even stan BTS btw they prob stan other groups, but instead have this weird attachment to the bias that they had when they were stanning bts. (much more frequent in my opinion)
The rest of us follow OT7 fanbases and do not tolerate the spreading of any false narratives on our TL

Why do I need awareness in the context of this thread? I didn't even tag ARMY, so anyone who cared to share was welcome to provide their insights as a fan, and anyone who doesn't want to give their time or energy to it didn't and still doesn't have to.
Also, the person in question DID aggressively come for me personally, so again, in the context of this specific thread, I'm not sure why you're directing your attention to me, when I had a very reasonable reaction to some hostile fan telling me to mind my own business.
And lastly, I made this thread precisely BECAUSE I am not up to date nor do I generally care about what's happening in your fandom. This specific issue was getting a lot of discussion outside AKP, so I came here to better understand why it's happening.
