What the fuck happening in this company

Furthermore, regarding JYP's former girl group members, the report said, "Members ○○ and ○○, who left group ○○○○, have had so much plastic surgery that they're nearly unrecognizable. It's clear they've been exposed to an environment that makes it hard to maintain their mental health, which especially shows in their looks and sexual appeal. ○○ seems to show similar signs."

This report probably talk about ITZY or NMIXX since these groups had a member who left or was absent recently, but it doesn't really matter here. The fact is that a shitty company itself acknowledges the psychological abuse imposed at JYP and that is very worrying because we all know that a lot of things are wrong but for even assholes to acknowledge it, it must be even worse than anything we imagine ... :skull:

  • I mean, we could say the same about almost or every other company.

Indeed i'm not surprised, but the fact is this report was made by HYBE so what is really going on at JYP to even shock people who are used to it? :skull:

Isn't JYP bang PD's bff? They even kinda "promoted" together talking about leading kpop etc.... They know each other well...

The trash brother ... we're going to learn soon that that shit bag JYP forced idols to do weird stuff for his cult :skull:

I remember Jay Park saying how jype staff used to beat PHYSICALLY trainees so I never understood how people think jype suddenly is an amazing place to work like all companies are bad, but jype is in a dark level with those past actions, being involved in a cult and their pressure on body's weight for the female idols.

Fans should really throw stones when JYP brings his baboon face to JYPE concerts :pepe-laser-eyes:

  • well we know that ITZY are overworked, it started to being visible... if you know you know what I mean about it

as for TWICE people remember what that ahjumma and JYP said to Zyo about weight

the pros is both groups are well known, had amazing moments, and members made ton of money

but the cons are constant releases for us, kor, and jpn markets

it also starts to already shown with NMIXX when Haewon was doing too many variety show gigs during promotions/festival season/concerts and in consequence she needed to step back for some time like from Workman when Jiwoo & Kyujin replaced her, same probably youngest weren't first choice to guest in Seulgi's variety show, because everyone usually asks about Haewon or Sullyoon but still the kid duo needed to go because unnies were overworked/sick/busy with other schedules

  • Wait a second. If Hybe is full of lies like everyone says, why is this being taken as gospel?

"It's clear they've been exposed to an environment that makes it hard to maintain their mental health, which especially shows in their looks and sexual appeal."

Now what is the correlation here?

  • I knew that company was shit when i saw Ryujin and Lia dramatic weight loss. Two members of the same group losing weight to the point their ribs were very visible? Nah, something was wrong with that company. Boy, is so difficult to stand a group when you know their company is fucking awful.

  • Actually the article says it is a collection of online comments

Makes me think of Byeongkwan and Chan from A.C.E

Byeongkwan said he joined JYP cause Jugyeom told him when he was a trainee and Byeongkwan asked how it was going, that JYP would be "oh so fun" and Byeongkwan belived it, enough to join JYP  and as soon he met Chan they both realised that JYP was not as great as they thought and left together

The list goes on, but as I said kpop fans see idols taking break to take care about their mental health and act like their work environment isn't a big reason for the break.

Funny enough, the company where these two ended up in makes sure that this will not happen, so when they arn't prepairing for a new album or tour and not planned to do stuff (like live streams) in the evening, they are free on the afternoons and evenings, even free on most weekends (unless if on tour) and sometimes even enough days off to go see their family etc. And this is what most KPop-companies would look at and be like: "Yeah no, they need to work!"

True. I was quit shook when TWICE said their first free time was when they were debuted for 5 years and not even got vacation time as trainees. Even with other companies like SM and the rest... Like in SM when WayV debuted, Yangyang revealed after 3 years that he also had no chance to take vacations and so he wasn't in Germany since almost forever, he even said a year after debut that he was normaly going back to Germany 4 times a year for 2 weeks each, but since he debuted SM won't let him even see his family once a year

Yep, I think YGE is the one that gives more breaks to their acts compared to Jype, Hybe and SM, but even then, it's too few.

It'll be difficult to see a real change where idols get the benefits unfortunately.

Well one leader and one label was doing this until HYBE decided not having a toxic work environment was too beneficial for the group.

Still waiting for that press conference, it's been 6 years since it was announced :pepe-narrow-eyes:

I kinda get it when foreign KPop-idols who have it harder to see their family often say that even if they might not like their home country too much, they consider going back once their groups disband. Yangyang for example said that there is nothing even holding him in Korea, so once WayV disbands he already made the plan to leave, not re-debut somewhere, just move back to Germany (unless his grandma will be still alive, cause he said her state is not too well, so he said he would spend the rest of her life with her in Taiwan and than go back to Germany, but if she dies before he leaves SM than he is straight going back to Germany)

Yeah, I remember Lisa also saying that bc of COVID it was impossible to see her family and like "ok, we get it", but even after COVID happened YGE didn't allow her to go back to Thailand for over a year and she was clearly upset with that situation...

As I said just if you have a solid fb in Korea, I don't see foreign idols living there. Being with their family is always the best option.

random but I had to think of foreign idols in Japan when reading your comment and 🙈 When INI debuted, their member Fengfan, who somehow became a China-anti, was asked if he would go back to China and he said no. Than the MC of a TV show said: "But what if your parents want to see you?" and he just straight up said: "If they realy love me, they need to come to Japan!"

IDK but dude really said once he started to dislike China when he realised that Japan and China are extremly different an that Japan is more open. He originaly came to Japan as exchange student and was set to be there for 6 months, but when he figured he likes how Japan works, he extended to fully study in Japan, which actually almost Fd his debut, cause when he was on Produce 101 Japan season 2 and won, he needed to figure out how to change his visa from student to work and he was not too happy when he heared that in the worst case he had to go back to China to fix his visa over there, if it wouldn't work in Japan ooof

Another case I remember of someone who wasn't in their home country for a long time would be Yoondong of the boygroup Orbit, he last time had been in Korea in 2021, cause for some reason during lockdown Japan forced people who have a work visa and arn't a resident of the country to screw themself in 2020 and go back to their home country, so their debut was a bit messy aswell as their 2nd single. But since being back in Japan in the end of 2021 he didn't left in 3 years. (but dude needs to go to Korea if he likes it or not sometime soon, cause he is at the age where the army might be calling)

  • Or Hybe is simply full of shit and should worry about themselves. Just look at their bizarre wording. They think an inability to maintain mental health "especially shows in their looks and sexual appeal." What the hell does that even mean?

The entire Kpop industry is fucked up in some fashion, starting with the inhumane training system, and every fan should know this already. We all share the guilt in giving these companies the time of day, even more so if you actively contribute to the system by purchasing their products. But unless we actually have evidence of a particular case of physical or mental abuse, there's no reason to believe Hybe over anyone else. They're just as likely to be guilty of such things, if not more so given some of the other things coming to light. The fact that "even they acknowledge it" means absolutely nothing. Hybe could be ten times worse than how they perceive their competitors for all we know.

Yeah no shit they didn't collect the report on reddit

How convenient that it doesn't matter when the statement clearly says the two members left one group... it cannot be Itzy and Nmixx

Anyway, not like I want to defend big corporations. But I was summoned here through tag and I hate being shoved nonsense in the face then said "ah it doesn't matter, just agree with my point"
