As of now, Red Velvet is one of these groups one can say they had a full and lenghty carrier and discography behind them. It's been 10 plus years in the industry and they have released at least +100 songs amonst which are legendary bops and concepts.
One could even think that their discography is basically complete. Cosmic might be their last comback, at last before a long time later (as a reunion or some).
As such, today i'm going to ask you to share your all time definitive Red Velvet top 10 songs ranking (taking into account the concept as well). Just rank their song by your preference, doesn't matter if it's title track or not, dominated the charts or 'floped', but only their korean songs.
Also you can have 3 special mentions (japanese and sub unit or solo songs included), and 3 worst title tracks ever.
Here's my list:
1. Russian Roulette (song, choreo virality, concept, production, cinematography, styling, vibe, quirkiness, this is their best work of all time in my opinion!)
2. Psycho (song, choreo and concept were just S tier and legendary, truly exceptional)
3. Automatic (it was the start of Velvet side and what a debut! a chill sensual hypnotique rnb perfection)
4. Peek a boo (quirky killer velvet with that creepy mansion and unusual un chorusy chorus shall be put in the top 5 yup )
5. Kingdome come (it's so good i've got nothing to say, just go listen to it even if it's not a tt)
6. Bad Boy (another rnb perfection, and the styling daamn, those teasers )
7. Red Flavor (just a good song, and their biggest commercial success at the peak of their carrier)
8. Cosmic (the bridge is everything and just so nostalgic and emotional specially as this might be their last comback for a long while )
9. Feel my rythme (it's just a very beautiful song, choreo, mv and concept, beautiful and nostalgic)
10. Ice cream cake (i remember still the shock and hype there was when they had this comback, that creepy cute catchy bop, their first hit , it was insane)
special mention: Naughty, Wildside, One of these nights
Worst title tracks ever:
1. Birthday (no comment)
2. Chill kill (almost killed their carrier, not as terrible but just uneventful and forgetable, like a lazy velvet parody)
3. Queendom (probably my biggest deception for RV alongside Chill Kill, I was so hyped for their long time comback as ot5, thinking this would be RR 2.0 just to discover some flavorless, childish, ininspired parody of it)
So far, even RV bad songs aren't earbleeding flops like some other group can release, even their bad songs are listenable and probably enjoyable for their fandom to some extent, but they're just not up to RV's level and standart and often come of as parodies of their past success, even with Umpah Umpah which sounded like a cheap Red Flavor hommage.
Anyway, please now share your own ranking and opinion , im very curious, let's gooo!
