Nah, I wouldn't call it luck. Aespa is under the historically biggest Kpop company that never had failing girl groups. SM is still miles ahead Hybe when it comes to know how and creative talent. They've been on top for decades. You can't "step" on that. Ive was obviously gonna fall first, Starship is a mid company with mid mindset, they don't know how to handle top groups, they simply lack experience.

Supernova is received well because people like it, simple. Just like many liked Drama. Actually this is the 3rd song in a row from them most people really like, they've built a lot of momentum.

If anything Supernova is the least "mid" hit rn as it's doing something interesting and stands out from the simple tiktok songs "everyone" is doing. Sure it's nice timing so it might boost it a little, but it would've done well regardless as it's a refreshing fun song from a big group that's been building momentum.

And also it's another promotional tactic for their album drop, because this conflict gives positive exposure to aespa.
