I agree. This is literally Blackpink 2.0 cover, right down to the two vocal prechorus with the girls sounding exactly like Rose and Jisoo, then the rap verses, then the drop sounding exactly like HYLT, and finally the classic Blackpink outro.
I think the song is overall a decent bop, a 7 out of 10. I woulda given it a blop rating like a 6 but that outro was epic, it was like an anti-outro, i loved how the song just paused to breathe for a moment. This is what is missing in so many modern pop songs that are like 2 minutes long, the songs arent given time to breathe, it's just "verse chorus verse chorus shittybridge the end".

Please, stop saying Kpop is a snooze fest, because it's not true. 5th gen is actually surprisingly strong music wise, and it's only started like a year ago or so. If you only listen to mainstream music, of course it's snooze fest, that's why people should do some digging and find non-mainstream artists.

I like BLACKPINK for not just their music but everything about them. I don't need imitation brand Blackpink.
I want more BLACKPINK content and music. I like Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo. I don't need a bunch of schoolkids in cosplay pretending they are hard out big girls.
Yeah I want new music from Blackpink, but if it can't or wont happen soon, I don't need a bunch of schoolkids doing a carbon copy. I want interesting, new and exciting groups doing something that might be in the same laneway, but at least has it's own distinct personality. Luckily I have Kiss of Life and XG (and my Itzy girls)... maybe Young Posse, but I haven't given them a chance yet.

there similarities but it's not super similar, there are some parts of the songs that bp haven't done I'm not denying the influence that would be dumb l but how like someone said the outro is not very bp like. I was watching a video reactor and the pointed out a few things they did a little differently than blackpink has done.
That question has been asked about TWICE fans when Itzy debut, then NiziU, then NMIXX and VCHA, when the reality is, TWICE fans stan TWICE because they are TWICE, so BP fans will stan BP for being BP.
It's not really complicated but it is annoying that there is expectation of "Senior Fans" to stan new groups when they are in the same company.
