Its because they can get so big that they do not need their group or company, like BP and then its a mess.

There are many other examples, like Chuu where the group blew up, and Mijoo where she left the group and company.

Even now in 4th gen now, if Yuqi, Shuhua or NingNing go to China for 6 months, they would never come back, like all members of Exo-M and WJSN.

So the meta is Twice, where JYPE keeps the members dependent on the group and the company for success, and they will all renew.

finally someone understands lol

For some, it's because unless you sell a lot of albums, barely charting a couple songs is not profitable for the company.

Apart from SKZ, the others aren't esthablished groups yet. Having solos means taking a break from group activities. None of these groups can handle a 10 month plus group inactivity without losing some popularity.

If I'm being honest, very few 4th gen idols can stand on their own two feet and give a solo debut. I love Itzy, however I don't believe solo releases will be successful. Midzy as a fandom has shrunk and the members themselves are not very popular with casuals outside of Yeji and maybe Ryujin.

As for the rest, StayC faces the same problem. For aespa, I would bet that only Karina and Winter would have successful solos both Korea and overseas, with Ningx2 being successful overseas and Giselle facing the same issue as Itzy.

SKZ, Enhypen, TXT and ATEEZ would only be successful within their fandoms and some of the members have neither singing talents nor good solo presence

it's much more profitable for the label to release group albums than solo albums

These results can be considered "domination" because there is no one else around in 4th gen solo

Didn't Hyunjin have a solo song? Or did that not count as real solo debut?
