Promising group indeed, a smart movement to choose their discography so far. GP probably tired of noise and overwhelming sounds coming from majority of 4th gen BGs

So NCT is 3rd while Rize is 5th so you’re telling me SM skipped a whole generation like cmon. Especially since they’re heavily inspired by NJ a 4th gen GG btw.

I dont follow kpop for some time now and just realized like a week ago Riize is new SM bg. I am quite shocked. Their charting is really impressive. Ggs are dominating so hard kpop really needs a digitally dominant new bg. If they continue similar musical direction I predict a huge hit soon. They have a nice stand out sound and aesthetic for a bg. Fully support

they are the most trendy kpop boygroup right now in korea

i enjoy get a guitar, it is a fun song, higly replayable.. has Dynamite vibes that I love. Hope they will keep releasing this type of songs..

RIIZE are charting so well for a 4 month old rookie group. Their progression has been fun to watch.

NCT only started charting for real in 2020 with Kick It when they were already 4 years old. Before that, their releases managed to join the chart for few hours thanks to their fandom but dropped quickly

RIIZE is definitely having great success for a newer group! Their long-lasting popularity on the charts is really impressive. While it's still early, they seem positioned well to be one of the top 4th gen bgs. I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue developing their musical style and fanbase. Wishing them all the best going forward!

lol yes, we are still in 4th gen. How can it be 5th gen when 4th gen started in 2018? If Rize is 5th gen, that means that 4th gen lasted from 2018-2022. Dis makes no sense whatsoever lol.

SM never had a 4th gen BG, NCT came out in 2016. Rize IS their 4th gen BG.

5th gen will start in 2025. Teddy's group and Illin will be the last big name 4th gen GGs most likely.

Baemon is YG’s 1st GG since BP so it still doesn’t make sense to me. Usually a new generation start with a group from the big debuting. Now we will skip a generation every 3 year.

Plus It wasn’t really started by k-medias but by Mnet media playing ZB1 and the rest followed. 5th gen has nothing distinctive to be detached from 4th gen.

But there has been no significant shift justifying the start of a new generation.

On BG side the groups who debuted in 2023 are very different from the other 4th gen BGs, both musically and conceptually. They definitely feel like groups of other generation
