It's the end of blackpink as we know it and I feel fine

    This is my proudest "I told you" moment, I have been telling blinks they will disband at least since 2018 when they were still rookies, it was crystal clear for anybody with half a brain: how the company manages them, how their members have a very weak bond compared to other groups like twice and bts that consider themselves as family, how blinks feels vindicated from their achievements and success instead of their music and talent, subfandoms full of akgaes in a scale never seen before on kpop. They have been done as a group since 2018, since then they were 4 soloists heavily promoted by yg which occasionally joined together for group activities.


    The only sad part is that blinks will not disappear with them, each one of their 4 subfandoms is as toxic and trash as the main fandom, in occasions even more toxic, they will slowly scatter to other groups turning them into miniature versions of blinks like they did with midzys for a time, i think mostly into babymonster fandom, and newjeans, aespa, lesserafim and ive in a minor scale.


    Anyway the celebration and jubilee once the notice hits the timeline will be insane

    Blackpink have ALWAYS been close, they literally trained together 5 years before they debuted. The members consider themselves sister, they always support eachother in their solo careers and hangout (yes even in their hiatus… they are just private and don’t post, blinks find out they were together from insta backgrounds ;( ). If you expect them to act like they are conjoined to the hip like the rest of Kpop then idk what to tell you, bp relationship is more real then the fake crap your used to, plus I don’t think you even have friends irl

    Most if not all idols always want to go solo at some point. Remember that they can't be idols for forever so they need to do something for themselves before their prime is up and their core fandom moves on,

    While I agree with you 110% I also think that solo careers shouldn't be the reason why they won't be a group anymore. I think there can be a balance between the two. They can spend most of their time doing solo stuff and then come together for a group promotion at least once a year.


    And I think that's the hardest think to achieve with successful solo careers because their labels have to be in harmony to do that and it's only possible if they don't sign to other music labels because YG would have to split their profit. I think that's the major reason why the negotiations are taking long. Either give up on the group or do non music stuff outside YG and keep their music rights only with YG.

    The thing is there’s no other company in the equation


    All the rumors and yet not a single company said they snatched a bp member yet. I don’t think they’ve signed with any new label.


    I honestly think they are still negotiating with YG. And I agree being in different companys migut make things difficult, but bp cb like every 1-2 years now. They would be fine imo

    I don't "write shit" about BP, they are one of my favorites, but I'm always a honest fan and when I don't like their songs I don't hesitate to say so, and for me BP hade their best song in the early years and the last couple of years have been a disappointment, even if Lovesick girls was good. BP have been a bit of a disappoinment after after a strong debut. And don't know what 2NE1 have to do with it, BP fans got some problems with 2NE1?

    I agree that BP members aren't really good at making people believe that they love each other and see themselves as a family (compared to other groups). Everything in K-Pop is fake. Bp isn't as fake as the average group, which is one of the reasons I dislike them. I prefer innocent-image-kind-of groups.

    The problem with blinks is Blackpink itself. They literally ALWAYS sing abt how they're better than anyone so blinks think the same.

    I think it would be great if BP disbands, bc then other groups would be able to reach new heights

    I don't care if they disband. I love the girls but I don't see them continuing as a group (although I would be happy if that was the case in the end) Like you said they've been done for a long time, not popularity-wise, they've always been popular, but I've just never had the feeling that the girls would want to continue BP after leaving YG. They all want to do their own stuff. Like you said, 4 soloists in a group. I don't think blinks are as evil and toxic as many say, it's just that a lot of the bad side of the fandom gets shown way more than the good side. But like Dara from 2ne1 said, fans will move on to the next group like Blackjacks moved to Blackpink when 2ne1 left YG. I will love and support the girls in their own endeavours once YG announces that they haven't resigned (other than maybe Rose resigning).

    I mean I was with you but then you said “like bts and twice” and that made me laugh.


    Kpop fans really do believe their favs are bffs for life lol. And I always find that cringe worthy.


    In BP case they’re more profitable as soloist than a group.


    In twice case this isn’t true.

    TBH I just want YGE to say something and not that shitty excuse anymore like damn. Also you seem more than fine I think ecstatic is the word you are looking for mate. Also the obsession with their disbandment is kinda crazy mate.
