Both have the worst discographies of the main girlgroups of their own generations imo. Always hated the Teddy Park production line and its overly electronic beats
Will vote for BP anyways, their music seems to be at least a bit more refined. 2NE1 early discography was atrocious, their late discography is listenable. Blackpink inherited the late 2NE1 sound, so they win
I have religiously follow both discography
and i prefer in term of Bsides 2NE1 by far are better, the problem with Blackpink discography is that their song are good nobody can deny it, but because they are a gg very commercial their sound is too safe, they rarely try something new in their album and the bsides in The album could have their place in Pink venom, Kill this love or any other EP they release, their bside are interchangeable
and even between their title track the difference in sound isn't really obvious
while imo Teddy used to take a little more risk with 2NE1 and if all their songs reflect 2NE1 sound and image, it was much more diversify than the discography of BP after all this year

As for the topic, i loved several 2NE1 songs. I Dont Care, Go Away, and of course their magnum opus, Ugly, which sometimes challenges BBY for the title of best song in Kpop history

However overall, BP is just too strong. 29 original songs, and not a true flop to be found, i have to relisten but i'm not sure i would rank any of the 29 songs with a 3 or less. All at least a 4 or more, which means blops/bops only.

Me too. I kinda like Boombayah and PWF because they remember me late 2NE1 (the only phase of 2NE1 I find enjoyable), while Whistle was simply fun and original.
I lost interest during D4 era, because I realized they won't change their concept or image. It was also the time where they were at their worst performance-wise, and their first mini was a huge let down. Never was a fan of AIIYL, but it was at least inoffensive, but everything in Square Up was tailored to annoy the hell out of me, I still can't listen Forever Young
Kill This Love was fine, but at that point I was already averse to Blackpink to listen to it. I always like when other idols or trainees make covers of it though, it has a very good choreography and is a very performatic song.
