Well BTS debuted in 2013 and they opened their individual IG Dec 2021.. So older groups (like BTS and Twice) maybe just don’t feel the need of an individual IG as much as newer groups. Even now Jungkook already deactivated his lol.

I've said it so many times

It's insane that JYP went so long not letting his groups members have individual accounts. JYP groups in particular seem to really be held up strongly by the individual popularity and charisma of their members and letting them have IG accounts would only help that. It's crazy that it took Stray Kids this long, its crazier that Itzy still hasn't.

I still also contend that the Blackpink members having individual accounts pretty early in career trajectory is a HUGE part of their individual popularity today

I am more a casual fan of the group, but will follow.

From my perspective i think jyp wanted to focus on the group activities first cause if them as a group do well and get a lot of attention from the fans and locals then their individual popularity would rise too. Like most ppl know stray kids as a group and then members like hyunjin Felix chan and lee know. After god's menu the members popularity started to rise specially Hyunjin and Felix's and using their popularity jyp promoted the group as well like giving them eye catchy looks or catchy lines in the songs which can help with the groups popularity. So now skz is getting a lot of attention from brands and locals maybe that's why jyp thought it's time they let individual members have their personal insta accounts so them as a group and individual members can be equally successful.

Few got7 members had solo activities and they were known as an individual more than them as a group (and it's also jyp's fault they messed up their career) so I guess jyp know what they're doing with the solo promotions and it makes sense why it took long(?)

this is solely my perspective I can be wrong.

I cannot say about BTS since I don't know them that well but I'm pretty sure JYPE was just limiting their personal/solo activities

I mean for god sakes their solo activities in year 7 exceed the amount of solo activities that they had in the previous 6 years
