What are your favourite singers in kpop and why?

Probably Jihyo

Taeyeon, Ailee, Eunji (APink), Yoohyeon (Dreamcatcher), Baek Yerin. A few others.

There aren’t a huge number of ‘great’ K-Pop vocalists. There are a lot of great visuals who sing OK - and that’s what the industry prioritizes.

I don't have any individual singers as such, they're more collective as a group - Twice for instance.

Interesting question!, I guess people will have different tastes then me, but for me it has to be:

Name: Jeong Sewoon.

Company: StarShip Entertainment.

Why?

I've been a fan for a while (our fandom name is LUCKY), and even if I know Starship really promotes him in Korea and a majority of his fans are Korean so many of them o their best to help me or cutely thank me for supporting him. He's a great singer, and I love many of his songs. I personally think his vocals have evolved a lot since his Produce 101 days.

For others, I would have to choose:

UK (BlockB, + BlockB BASTARZ) + Taeil.

Although BlockB and its sub units are pretty scary to newcomers, as a long term BBC, they often get over looked for vocals.

Truthfully I didn't know his group well, but he co founded 'Faker Club' with an IMFACT member who was my bias at the time. His vocals are just something I find unique.

Another great singer, his vocal tone and how he controls the stage is something I hope people look into more.

ONF.

ONF is a group I think has really good vocals, even Wyatt (the cave voiced rapper) can sing to. Although I love their cyber punk concept to, they are definitely one of my top favs singers.

Honorable Mention: Kim WooJin.

Not only is he on his way to 1M Cubs, but if you need a singer who is powerful and knows how to control his tones, def check out his music~

daesung (man what I wouldn't give up to hear him sing again), wendy and baekhyun and among 4th gen sio and aran from fifty fifty so far...

Wendy, Shannon, Solji, I really admire and like their vocal flexibility and mastery. And with Wendy I also like how she can adapt her vocal color and style to the music genre she's singing, she's especially outstanding when singing soul and r&b.

Chowon as how she sang in PD48 (so underappreciated and underused now in Lightsum ) and Jessica, I like their vocal color, it really adds a unique flavor to the songs they sing.

Taeil and Doyoung, there were some NCT songs where they sang so smooth, it almost felt like silk or butter in musical form. I liked that sound.
