Re: Bts are losing their US fanbase very rapidly

  • OP

Huh, yes FIFA appearance ended BTS' US fandom...the dumbness at display. Isn't it thanksgiving week in US which is a major busy holiday week? We just had record sales with Jin's song 2 weeks ago, which beat Yet to Come sales too. A fandom does not end in 2 weeks over FIFA news that has been circulating for weeks/months.

Funnily OP wanted other Kpop groups to perform at FIFA, why, will it not end their careers?

Ves  Jasmine_Waters  onlyfacts and maybe other US Armys can throw light on this doomsday conspiracy theory that BTS are over in US just cause some believe a few thousand reddit upvotes are representatives of all of US Armys when most upvoters will not even be actual Armys.

  • It is true that BTS fandom outside of K-O-R-E-A is eroding quite quickly.

There is no avoidance of it. too little promo in USA. nobody will wait till 2025.

  • Just a few minutes back one of the main US Army funding accounts announced that she will not be available tomorrow for funding as she will be busy with family for thanksgiving, but sure let's make it about BTS losing fans cause FIFA appearance was a bad move because a thousand redditors are against it. :clown:

Imagine saying that performing at the biggest event in the world is a mistake, only Kpop fans living in the Kpop bubble can say this while in the same breath wishing their faves got the opportunity BTS did.

  • I have said a few times that Dec 2023 is the time when BTS' support around the world will halve. There will be some diehards, but most of the casual fans will leave by then

You should change your name to Kpopstradamus what with you knowing the exact month and year of their decline too

  • What even. Kpop stans keep creaming their pants thinking US ARMY of all people (when US fandoms are more dedicated to bands than even the Japanese) will stan their flop favs which they're admitting that their own favs can't gain fans on their own and would gladly take leftovers. All signs from their PTD tour SOLD OUT just in pre-sale before GP/GA could even get tickets, should have made that very clear how mute this point is. You still have rock bands 30 plus years touring to 60K people here in the states and kpop stans think BTS US fandom won't be the same? Maybe they're projecting their own insecurities with their own kpop bubbled favs, but that's not how BTS will play out. So I guess they can strive to get our leftovers, but they will already be replaced as all indicators have shown just from concert-goers, the only metric that can't be inflated.

And Fifa 2022 has gotten way more coverage than was expected. Which is surprising but then again the 2018 Russia World Cup might have gotten more coverage just because of bad blood between the two nations. I wouldn't know because up until last week I had no idea wtf football was because I've never watched it. But this is thanksgiving week, most college students are coming back home for the holidays, most retail workers are getting ready for an annoying weekend, and many are planning their thanksgiving meal. I'm no differenct, the last two days all I've done was go shopping for thanksgiving and reconnected with family that will be visiting my mom's family home for the holidays.

  • Better title for that anon:

BTS are making antis lose what little braincells they have left very rapidly.

That didn't even make sense. BTS must be magicians to Houdini themselves away at such a pace. Was it before or after they won the Favorite Pop Duo/Group award at the AMAs and became the most awarded group in that category? Cause I think it was the same day as the World Cup opener. They also won Favorite KPOP Artist, a 2nd award that night, so that disappearing act anon OP is trying the hype is made up of salty salty tears from heavy deluded.

  • Reddit is full of BTS antis and woke SJW( who don’t do anything but whine). I would avoid Reddit if you don’t want to lose faith in humanity.

  • Yes, there are a lot of US fans who 'boycotted' the FIFA song, but it's ridiculous to make it a parameter to say that BTS is losing fans. I also don't get this 'oh armys dropped BTS for other groups'...a lot of multi fans already exists and they are already stanning other groups on top of BTS (yes, thank u for paving the way BTS). So, what's the point?

BTS can announce today the 14 all-stadium US dates they originally have in their canceled MOTS:7 tour 2 years ago— add new venues and dates and they will sold it the fuck out only in pre-sales. These 'hopeful' thinking will only remain a wet dream.

  • I don't take part in this forum much anymore, other then to laugh at the socially inept and the hot takes that make their home here, but it never ceases to amaze that for going on 4-5 years mfers have been searching high and low for some kind of "proof" to show BTS is declining.

They'll continue to slay as solo artists, and then resume their dominance after they return from the military.

Also, since we love predictions here, I predict that K-O-R-E-A guy will still be a virgin when BTS come back from enlistment.

Dreamers is still no. 1 in US itunes rn. I guess website sales are low because I haven't seen anyone share a link. I don't think many are even aware of its existence. Overall, the rollout of the song has been a mess. From spotify to its MV.

Well, I didn't expect it to be like their normal solo releases esp their group ones. People should lower their expectations in the first place, also it is just one of FIFA's soundtrack this year and HYBE is not the one handling & distributing the song. They only recruited JK to perform on FIFA nothing more nothing else.

  • NGL this is the second strange post from this 'OP' user. I think its just a anti or someone looking for lots of interactions as they don't really interact or have a profile set up, that's just what I think anyway

Will they do that in 2026? I seriously doubt it.

Bang should have done these concerts in 2021-22.
