I disagree, in my opinion as if it is your last is overhyped, there are much better teddy songs(not saying its a bad song, it's a really good song but there are much better ones).
For example, literally all of bp's tts since as if its your last, forever young, most of the album and born pink. Heck, even ready for love is better than it.A lot of people say teddy went down after as if its your last, I disagree a lot. His productions have improved since and I would say as if its your last was a turning point.

I think AIIYL was an incredible song and prob my favorite BP title track. Yeah, it was different but it was such a fun era. The song is great and maybe wasn't the perfect song for Blackpink. It also established the belief that Blackpink is dual concept. I do feel really bad that they had to perform it for a full year tho.

My top is between AIIYL and LSG too, might like LSG a bit more but its very close, probably because I listened the hell out of AIIYL when I first became a blink.
AIIYL is supposed to sound different. The idea of BP is there is both black and pink for both the duality of their personalities and their music.

But I think that the purpose of the release of AIIYL was to establish that Blackpink is dual concept and never does the same thing twice.

But it's one of the main reasons I'm so skeptical when blinks strongly say that Blackpink is a dual concept group. First of all, I'm pretty sure they never officially established that they were. I think it was kind of inferred after AIIYL. But let's be honest, they really haven't done a lot of that sort of thing. I guess it's more when they want to.
I would describe their concepts more as what they actually said, that they don't do the same concept multiple times.

Okay, I'll admit. The chorus is not horrible but it's that style, whatever it's called, where the pre-chorus is amazing but the chorus itself doesn't live up to the power of the chorus. Like the pre-chorus is acting like it's made to lead up to a really great chorus but the chorus itself only ends up disappointing.
I was just expecting more tbh. I love the choreo that comes with it but the chorus itself...I don't know how I feel about that.

The poetic beauty behind it makes it so amazing and definitely one of my favorite Blackpink tracks. The meaning behind it is truly powerful and just puts me in the feels

I love sad songs, remember when we were talking about ballads and how i cant relate because i cant understand Korean., well this is one of the few kpop ballads that I can so it's special to me.

I remember doing that for You Never Know and Be as One and I was shedding tears...both are very powerful songs. And if Feel Special were a ballad, I would never have been able to recover. But all I could really do with ballads I didn't understand was admire the musicality, the instrumental, and the melody of the songs to see if I can feel something.
