it's only Twice antis that bring it up there. most ppl are over it or never really cared, it's only brought up to bash her.
and Twice have got a solid fanbase there so I'm guessing it ain't as big of a problem as ppl make it out to be.

I wonder why people think that this mean contract renewal for Twice. It's just distribution deal with tencent (99% chance), so even if they leave JYPE, the deal is still going to work for releases under JYPE. That's what I got from it.

There's no ban for Twice in China, it's ban for Korean promotion.
The article is saying that if the THAAD ban is lifted, there might be some promotion. (I'm not sure about this part)
