I mean jennie kinda did have a bullying scandal but it came out way before bp’s debut so it didn’t gain much attention once the group hit the scene, plus that was a decade ago and bullying scandals just didn’t have the same stigma and media traction that they do today, so that’s another reason that scandal didn’t blow up

They kind of had one with Jennie, except it was bs and had like zero evidence, not only that a lot of her classmates came out and supported her and majority of the claims were bogus like one of them was that she hangs out with white people cus she hates Asians while there were pics of her predebut hanging out with Asians.

YG and others should definitely be taking notes about how to not handle such a situation. But talking about background checks, I don't know what can be done, it's not like anyone can have access to school records, unless they ask the trainees to voluntary give them, which might even be illegal
