Lol at the invited part. Quick fix after 2NE1 suprise? Also SM and many aespa stans made it seem like Coachella organizers gave them the invitation when it was this company. The two arent same. Even in anons some were saying it's the Coachella organizers. The way SM set them up with all this. Also we all know why there is so much emphasis on the main stage and it's implications. Embarrassing mediaplay and set up. When u have to try and be a FIRST.

88rising invited 2ne1 to perform on main stage. 88rising also invited aespa to perform on main stage. why did SM media play with 1st gg invited to main stage? maybe they didn't have time to update their press release since 2ne1 was a surprise last weekend.

from my view both sm and fans all get to share blame in this situation, it's too much obsession over "who was first" "whose set was longer" "which stage is more prestigious". the media play was wrong and so are fans reactions.

I promise that’s okay to admit SM knew what they’re doing no one is jumping on aespa some of y’all are doing the most.

At the end of the day 2NE1, BLACKPINK and Aespa performed on Coachella no one gives a fuck if it was the main stage or technically some weren’t invited.

the perceived prestige came from the assumption that aespa were invited by coachella itself, not 88rising. either way I'm glad that everything is out in the open and everyone can both stop bragging or attacking what was prompted by sm's "smart" mediaplay.

by the way, in your example, coachella are the party hosts and 88rising is the guest lol. so technically everyone here (I guess apart from blackpink) was just a friend of a guest.

Today I found out some people believe 88rising is an artist/group that was invited to Coachella while the artist's names under them were only this group's guests.

88rising is a company that manages these artists' stages to expose them to the audience. When they ask x artist to perform in Coachella then that artist IS invited to Coachella through them, period. We know aespa weren't headliners from the start and no one claimed it so what is this fuss about? They were invited just as CL. CL on her part brought 2ne1 members for a stage perf. I can understand why this is tricky. SM knew what they were doing when they claimed the 1st gg title but they weren't lying and if you go to any groups' company/official account I promise you, you will find similar achievements titles. It's how they work.

Multiple adjectives to claim achievements were always stupid (especially when it's bragged about by fandoms, not even the company). It's pathetic but it's not that deep. Making an alt to post this thread only to shade aespa is more pathetic.

I don't care either but some people are diminishing aespa by acting as if they were not invited but were an artist's guest hence that SM was lying about the invitation itself (when they only did the usual adjective filling title to claim a 1st).
