Why do people pass G-idle as a visual group?

could someone define what visual group exactly entails?

I know that a lot of SM (ahem, aespa) groups tend to be really visual heavy (not discounting their dancing and vocals ofc.) but each member of (G)I-DLE have their own style (soyeon's wild style, Miyeon with more elegant looks, etc)

I don't think they necessarily rely on their looks alone tbh.

it's when people think they're attractive. not about talent or anything. it's just a title given to groups people agree are all attractive.

Yuqi definitely not on the korean beauty standards.

The only one I can think of is Miyeon

Yuqi is gorgeous, Miyeon and Shuhua are the official visuals, I personally love Minnie's looks and Soyeon is also very uniquely pretty. To me they're one of the most eye-catching groups around, everyone has a distinct look and they're all very attractive.

They're a visual group when they want to.

As a (G)I-DLE stan i like that people recognize their talents and music over their visuals. It's what makes them standout from the generic visual masses.

Idle is more of a vocal group rather than visual tbh.

Because they have not a barbie dolls appearance. Koreans necessarily like classic visuals with soft features and barbie looks. Strong, intense and sharp facial features are also very beautiful and attractive. I mean, of course, they have their own preferences, but I don't think there is a single type of beauty in the world. There are different types of beauties. It is unreasonable to standardize beauty to one type. Jennie and Hwasa are definitely an example of that. Also every member has different facial beauty in Gidle.

I love their visuals because the girls can pull off any concept. Some girl idols who are beautiful tend to stick to few safe style (hair style or colour or make up style) because maybe they are afraid their fans might get mad for not being as beautiful as they should? So those idols while beautiful, are not that exciting to me. G-idle girls are not afraid to look different or have smeared make ups to embody a concept. For me, they are not the traditional visuals but unique visuals.
