Why do people pretend ikon are succesfull?

The most I've ever seen is that they had a hit with "Love Scenario" (objectively true), but like Winner, they have a relatively small fandom and their overall success is dependent on what resonates (or doesn't) with the gp.

seriously, also lets stop acting like winner isnt the bigger group in both digitals and sales - ikon used to tour in domes their debut year in japan and now they do halls - BI out sells and outstrrams ikon easily and Bobby's shotgun wedding just cenched it

iKON was big until 2019. After that they fell off. Stream I'm OK though, it's a good song.

Wow, look at this ikon slander. It really sucks that ikon doesn't have enough stans to parade their achievements. Anyways, people don't realize that iKon is one of the most successful groups when it came to touring and their digitals were also great.

I remember when my classmate showed me that song, it's really good. I listened to it for days and in my opinion it's better than love scenario which got old eventually, but I'm OK is still on repeat

Whenever we'll talk about hits from boygroups, their name will be mentioned bcoz LS was one of them. That doesn't mean that they're still popular today but at some point in their career they were big and that's just stating a fact.

Why are you guys trying to turn it into a competition between them? Both of them are successful. There was no need to bring Winner into this.

Do yg groups even release anything these days?

they are though, they are the only 3rd gen bg to have a number 1 on melon year end chart, even if love scenario was a one off hit, it had the impact which still exists today.....

Let's not bring Treasure into this either. They might not have digitals but will soon become YG's first million-seller boy group. Both groups have different strengths and are successful in their own way.

my type was a hit too not a national hit but it did pretty good on charts and gained a lot of attention back then.

rhythm ta did relatively well too so I think at least 3 songs of iKON were succesful.

No matter how many hits or just one-hit wonder, a hit is a hit every group is definitely wanting to achieve in their career.

Sales might not be as big with the current generation, but they still have a solid fan base enough to still sell and tour.

My type did really well, it was released in the middle of September and still made it to 33rd place in the year-end charts. Also, Apology also hit number on Gaon. Goodbye road and WYD also did pretty well in the charts.

twice had many hits and so many kpop stans are saying they turned into flops. I don't see this energy for ikon

Lets say a group was/is successful, does that make it ok for the fandom to be toxic and call others flops?

I always like Ikon and I remember very loud ikonics (I think that’s the fandom name) about LS back in the day. Most memorable ones are when they bragged about kids singing LS in school lol. Can’t remember the user names though.. also YG stans were active that time. Now not so much.

Yes LS was known as the kindergartener's national anthem. Also yeah, ikonics and inceos (Winner stans) and vips were a lot more active here two years ago.

Your title change makes no sense. No one considers them more successful than other big3 groups. Especially when u have twice, bp and exo around in 3rd gen itself.

I mean they are never brought up as a top bg (which they never were except in korea for a brief period of time). Considering what akp folks tend to say about profit being more important than streams, recognition and all that when defending bulk buy sales then ikon were still decently successful through touring.

YG stans are probably delusional enough to think they were massively successful and a top group though
