Different songs are for a different mood. I think it is natural if you want to skip some songs.

I doubt it’s a filler just because you don’t like it. Every person has a different taste, what you might like somebody else skips.
Personally I have different playlists. Txt no skip. It has every album they did all together and I just shuffle play it. For Exo and bts I took out the skips and listen the rest of the song. That’s like what…90% of their songs?

I agree with this. I say I Stan a group when I can safely say I like majority of their songs. That’s 3 bg and a gg for me.

Not true. Some albums feel too short. Full lenght are better.
Not really. The more songs in an album the higher the chance to find gems. For example, after BP's songs hunger, The Album was a blessing. Imagine if it was a mini and half of those songs were not there. There's nothing bad about more songs. What you find as a filler might be someone else's favorite song. It pleases all tastes.

More songs = more opportunities to enjoy a new song. It never hurts to have more songs. And higher quantity doesn’t really mean lower quality in kpops case.

agreed with all of this. it's easier to get away with filler in the kpop industry imo, bc if you're a western artist- people will call you out for it. and it's also a matter of some artists care more than others about their music. i'd rather have shorter albums with better songs and it's rare for some artists (such as TS) to pull off a long album where all of the songs are high quality- and that's usually why those albums go on to be highly regarded in music etc.- such as Fine Line, folklore, and Future Nostalgia.
I can't be dealing with bloated albums. Which all popular albums are nowadays, with their 15 tracks and hour long runtimes like wtf.
Something something "streaming era/iTunes era", IE, people are expected to just take the songs they like and discard the rest.
But then an album is just a random collection of songs, and at that point, why even bother with the pretence of "albums" in the first place?

There are way too many songs in Kpop in general. Back in the day, artists would put out 12 song albums every 2-4 years. Kpop fans would go nuts if that were to happen. Nowadays, acts put out like 10-15 songs a YEAR.
A group like BTS has like 200+ original songs in eight years, that's TWENTY FIVE SONGS per year.
Maybe pop music worldwide is like this, with artists just flooding the market with songs, short songs that seem more like commercials and ads for the artist's brand rather than actual creative pieces.
What happened to the days when songs were works of art that were allowed to freaking breathe????
I always listen to my biases albums when they come out and give the album a full listen. I pick favourites out then play them the most. I agree that it is quality over quantity. Not all albums are going to have quality songs and one doesn't have to like every song either.

My faves can't relate. I really don't skip them except for the Gluon Denimalz Intro/Interlude/Outro tracks
