Double standards for Aespa are funny

    let's be honest Kpop fans are hating on Aespa like crazy even if they don't want to admit it, it's clear with their double standard and how they keep trying to downplay aespa.


    1. for example when Itzy debuted with Dalla dalla and did well everyone agree that the song was doing well because the GP likes it, and even before they came back with Icy, everybody was talking about them as digital monster, who had the support of the GP

    Now that Aespa is doing well nobody is saying that they are doing this well because they have the support of the GP , but everyone are trying to discredit their achievement on chart behind the lame argument of " they are from big 3 "


    2. Every Aespa content is getting Millions of Views and people are still trying to explain this by the stupid " they are from big 3, so big 3 privilege, that's why all their videos are getting millions of view"


    then explain me if Aespa is getting millions of view on a random Music bank video why an interview of NCT who is under the same agency than Aespa , on a video posted on the same channel don't have millions of view -_-

    Big 3 privilege is general or not, you can't nitpick for which group the Big 3 privilege will work and for which group it will not work

Now they ranked in Melon #5 and people are still acting like they did it only because of big3 privilege, but let me remind you that Red velvet, Twice, Itzy are all big 3 GG and none of them enter Melon top 5 since the chart reform, so no if Aespa did it it's not because of Big 3 privilege because if it was the case every Big 3 GG would be able to do it.

    You all just want to discredit aespa so badly that you are crediting everyone of their achievement on big 3 privilege because it make you feel better to say this than admit that they already have a loyal fanbase and that the Public like them


    I understand that you are mad that Aespa is doing so well after you all try to bring them down by attacking them since their predebut, and try to discredit them and picture them as a flop for their debut

    so i really understand that you are mad that Aespa is now doing great after all you did

    but trying to discredit everything they achieve behind the Big 3 privilege isn't cute honey booboo


  • True but to be fair people only started praising Dalla Dalla many months after it hit big once they couldn't replicate the same level of digital success and they weren't seen as an immediate big threat to their faves anymore, you shouldn't expect non fans to praise aespa and honestly who cares at the end of the day the charts numbers aren't lying. Most antis and trolls went into hiding already, who cares about residual haters having it hard processing aespa doing great...

    It's hilarious to me how kpop fans ALWAYS take jabs at SM artists for flopping in the digital charts but the moment Aespa land themselves a hit, it's suddenly all because of SM's privilege. Where was that privilege when Aespa released Black Mamba and Forever? And it's even funnier when even fans of other big3 groups try to use the privilege card against Aespa.

    This has been the same for the past 5-10 years, really.


    Whenever YG or JYP groups charted high, it was all organic and Korean public loving them. Whenever SNSD or other SM groups charted high, it was either SM manipulation or SM privilege.

    When SM groups had high album sales, it was because of bulk buy, not a large fanbase.

    Singers of YG or JYP or other groups were declared best vocalist of their generation solely based on their distinctive voice color K-pop fans liked, while SM artists were called talentless visuals who couldn't sing - yet as soon as vocal analysts started to acknowledge and praise SM singers more and more and even found them among the best vocalists, antis and other-group stans didn't dare to bash their vocal skills anymore.


    It's not for nothing that SM groups, of all the top companies' groups, have always had the most fake news scandals, slander and hate mongering thrown at them even before debut: antis and other-group stans really make an effort to target them, more so than other debuting groups of the top companies.

    For the same reason they'll always look for ways to trivialize any talent or achievement that could be described to them.


    So, I'm actually happy that at least it's being recognized that SM's trainee coaching and selection are really good, and that SM groups debut with strong talents incl vocals.

    This acknowledgement wasn't there in 2nd gen era, even when it should've been obvious to anyone objective that vocals, dance and performing (and even variety) were already strong talents in SM groups like SNSD, DBSK, Super Junior, SHINee etc.
