"33k in debt"
i don't think you should quit because of age.
only quit kpop if it becomes an addiction. being obsessed with an idol is weird. i know i sometimes joke about being in love with hongjoong, but obviously i'm just joking. he's cute and all, but i wouldn't cry if he gets a gf. kpop shouldn't be unhealthy, but sadly, people of all ages might become obsessed.
Never

Exactly this.
As long as it's not an unhealthy obsession, stay connected as long as you want. Basically anything in excess is bad. Everything in moderation.
Display MoreGoing to turn 40 in a few years and so far this is what I have accomplished from decades of following kpop:
- stan 3 groups
- 7 kpop albums, sold 4
- 1 signed photocard
- 33k in debt
- my few kpop friends all left
- a lightstick and a couple of merch
Uncle you married? Do you have grandchildren? If yes then tell them bigbang are the real kings of kpop not Behind The Scenes
When people act like if enjoying the music you like is bad at a certain age are weird ... what do you expect someone to listen to when they don't like other music but are in your eye to old for it? If you dislike older people listening to this music, than just don't talk to older people who listen to it than I guess
I voted 35 because it's the limit I have in mind for me, but anyone can like anything any time.
I don't judge 40+ K-Pop fans for liking K-Pop. What I dislike is when older people throw their weight around or use their age to pretend that they know things, when they are being as delulu as a 15 year old. Or when they get into fanwars. Fighting with teenagers over men who are young enough to be their children is not a good look. It's also cringey when you see middle aged women at fansigns asking the idols to do aegyo for her. (I'm thinking of that Ateez stan in Korea.)
Teenagers can be intense, but they're teenagers. When middle aged people act that way you know they're living that life forever, and it's a bit sad to think about.
Its fine when unlce fans of twice ask them to do aegyo always but when middle aged women asks male idol to do aegyo then its cringey.
Misogyny

Misandry is the prejudice against men.
Is this a strawman argument or are you sharing your own stance?
Simpy uncle fans belong in the cringiest tier, we all know this.
the albums were lined with gold and jewels
he should try reselling!
Why? If you like it, listen to it. I’m 38 this year and got into this four years ago. Even if I stopped listening to new K pop, because it stopped being my thing, I wouldn’t stop listening to the tracks or bands I enjoy. I still listen to music I enjoyed as a child... music is a way of connecting with joy and with memories.
I cgaf if anyone tries to come at me that any type of music is age appropriate/inappropriate.
Anything above 25 as that is Defined as ahjummas and ahjusshis according to kpop fans themselves lol
I'll quit when I feel like.
Haha but imagine like, I don't know, bopping to a bunch of Blackpink the day before your birthday, and like fanboying over them enjoying your photocards and books. Then the time becomes midnight, and you're like, "oh well I guess I don't love Blackpink anymore" and then like burning all your Blackpink merch and stuff. Like, if you were to abandon kpop the minute you turned 30 or whatever, that would be mad wild.
how are u 33k in debt
travelling to kpop events outside the country cost a lot of money. it cost about 5K last year
nope. but the age of idols on the industry are already on grandchildren age
I don't get why people act like once you reach a certain age you shouldn't be allowed to enjoy KPOP anymore. Just like with any other genre of music, I'm going to enjoy it even if i'm in my 90's. Makes no sense to "quit".. I swear. There must be some age shaming going on somewhere if people are feeling they have to "quit" a music genre lmao
Here's a life tip: stop giving a fuck about what people think and enjoy what you like for as long as you like it........ (as long as it's legal OFC) Life is too short bruh.

I agree with this. Who gives a crap if you like Kpop. I'm 35 years old and I still love it. I have been listening since my 20s and I'm still not going to stop.
Sadly I have read online that people do make fun of other people for liking Kpop. They have nothing better to do I swear.
33k in debt
Okay..... That's not ideal
