The songs obv sounds similar, because both song were sampled from the same song: Marina - Primadonna.

The MV had some similar scenes, but that's all, and technically IVE didn't even debut yet when Golden was made, it's just "I AM" was released first.

The 2nd and 3rd scene is not even similar, btw. Only the plane scene.

Both songs are bad

I like I Am and I can see the similarities now that people have pointed it out, but it wasn't crazy obvious to me at first. But I also doubt I Am was completely original... so I think it's too far.

There's nothing groundbreaking and original about I Am as a song and scenes huntrix "copied". I know kpop fans like to be delulu but production started in 2021. And music producers started working on music in early stages of the film. So by that logic it can only be the other way around.

Either way, it's stupid. Kpop fans like to yell plagiarism at everything. And even here two people voted for yes. They obviously don't know how much time you need to make a film (both animated and not).

I think kpop fans should be happy about the film's success. This only opens doors for more groups. There's most likely some new kpop fans because of this group and I am sure some of them checked out IVE and others music.

This is a fictional group on a fictional movie where modern KPOP was the main inspiration. KPOP fans will find anything to be mad about. Like?

Do they want Starship to sue Sony and Netflix? If not, they need to chill. We all know they sound similar, and none of the songs, concepts, etc. are original or claim to be. Don't hear KDA, AESPA, BP, EXO, ATEEZ, Enhypen, or SKZ fans complaining.

As pointed out this song was in the works before I am released.

None the less I think the point of the movie was to pay homage to a lot of popular kpop songs and idol groups.

Like that’s the entire point of the movie. There are dozens of references for each of the songs and the groups themselves.

The so called copying is kind of the whole point.

If a popular group does ANYTHING or wears ANYTHING in an MV, that thing then becomes off limits for any other group ever and to breach this rule is PLAGIARISM

If a group features a member eating an apple, no other group must EVER have a member eating an apple again. And to be safe, that also include pears, nashi or any other hand held fruit (and also tomatoes if eaten whole by hand, because DUH).

Should a member of a group do a pose with their hands above their head, all other groups will forfeit the right to do ANY pose that has hands above their head in any way.

If a groups MV has a scene in a "unique" location like a plane, a train platform, a school, or an open field, then woe betide any other group that even dares think of featuring a scene in a similar place in an MV.

Doing any of these things, and more, are by the very legal definition (of kpop fans) PLAGIARISM and any groups found guilty of it must be punished by constant snark on X and abuse on SNS, including flooding group and members posts with the , and 🐍 emojis.

Of course, any kpop group copying ideas made famous by OTHER sources such as popular movies are not covered by this rule. These groups are merely being "creative" and possibly "groundbreaking" (unless they are a group you do not like, then the previously mentioned consequences for PLAGIARISM apply.

That is clearly, clearly a major and unforgiveable act of plagiarism. Probably one of the worst and most vile in kpop history.

Why, the only worse acts of plagiarism I can think of in recent history are "Members have long, straight black hair" and "members are wearing hanbok". To so brazenly STEAL such unique, creative and groundbreaking ideas is a high crime.

Yep. Literally billions of songs have been created since man first walked the earth. Perhaps trillions of melodies. It's a surefire guarantee that every single possible chord progression in Western musical theory has been done countless times. There are literally only 12 notes to work with and only a fraction of the possible chords and progressions made from them sound good to our ears, with the rest being dissonant messes lol.
