Same with his dance, it's all swag no skill that is carried by stage presence

He is and his +20 years career shows it. Now he indeed is with an even more weird way of singing, rapping, but yes, he is talented. And what people see in him? His music, his actually acknowledgement about music, his overall image of creating things, his aura, his confidence and his passion.

GD didn't start good like our faves who were already loved (by existing fbs) even without proving themselves bc they are super pretty. You are talking about an artist who was heavily criticized for his ugly looks and even with all the hate he got, specially in Heartbreak era, he just showed why he debuted and it wasn't to become an idol, it was bc he is an artist.

He's kind of the epitome of the idea that charisma and "star quality" are way more important than tangible skills. But anyway, he was never celebrated for his singing, moreso his rapping and songwriting. As for why the people in the clip are having full body orgasms from him dicking around, it's because that's just how celebrity works. Everyone knows him as a musical genius, so they don't want to seem like they don't get it. At this point he could record himself spreading feces all over the microphone and people will say it's a masterpiece. Reminds me a lot of Kanye. Incredibly influential and visionary musician, but nobody kept him in check, and look where that got him. I don't think it'll happen to G-Dragon though, as I don't think he has as much of a massive chip on his shoulder. But I guess we won't know until it does.

Something bad happened with his vocal cords for sure. He has some songs that require singing, so theoretically he should know how to sing on pitch with these kind of very easy phrases.

He sings in a lot of his songs and same for Bigbang’s so yeah, he is a singer.

A lot of Kpop rappers are actually both rappers and singers : Yezi, Moonbyul, Jessi, J-Hope, Jennie, CL, Changbin… and probably more bg members that I don’t know.

If they showcase their singing skills in their songs then they are singers too.

He is average at singing and rapping but is a skilled composer and songwriter. He is talented.

Well the question is about talent so yeah he has talent but it's more about the production, the stage presence and the rapping. But his tone is grating and that extract really is not it. The others praising it like that make it worse.

I think he reached a sort of legendary status that makes people approve him easily even if it's not that good. And good day, from afar looks more like a gd praise fest than a regular show about the guests.

He's overrated in every single aspect. I've realized that I will never understand the hold and power he has in Korea but well I respect it since it's consistent.

Maybe he's a talented writer and producer because isn't he credited for many popular songs? I think outside of that he seems to be below average.
